Match Deck Construction Total: 12/17
- Number of Cards: 3/3
The usual, ans sensible 40.
- Consistency: 4/8
In the first round the deck went crazy. He managed to summon Gungnir, which is a great addition to the deck pretty fast and once he cleared my field with it he overextended with Tidal and Megalo. Considering that he popped all my backrow before and left me with nothing on the field, it was a good move to go for game in a single turn.
What the deck did right in the first round, it fucked up in the next too. he didn't manage to do anything, although he could have gone for an early Black Rose Dragon play. So, from that I can see that he had the possibilitys but due to Ophion's field presence he was locked down. Still, with things like Mermails it should be pretty easy to get a monster of the field, simply by dropping an Infantry. It seems that tzhe addition of many other cards reduced the ratio of the Mermail-Atlantean plays drastically.
- Originality: 4/4
I quite like the idea of combining Mermails with other Archtypes, although their main engine is still the same: Discard for pop/search/summon. The addition of the Heroes was a nice move, and opens the possibillity to go for Miracle Fusion plays pretty easy. Genex-Ally Birdman was a surprise but it worked, somehow. In all, it does contain a very well known engine but it makes many things diffrently.
- Side Deck: 1/2
Oddly enough only 14 out of 15.
Match Performance Total: 15/23 points
- Rulings: 8/8
He got his stuff right, can't really complain about anything.
- Focus: 1/2
He tried to Synchro Summon into Black Rose whilst Ophion was on the field, and that ended up costing him his Birdman and Dragoons.
- Use of cards: 3/5
In the first round there really wasn't anything he could or should have done diffrently. Even that swarm at the end was fully appropriate, considering my empty field and hand. I had nothing so he was safe.
In round 2 the opening play was a move that might have costed him the match. He somehow forgot about Ophion and summoned Atlantean Dragoons and Genex-Ally Birdman, ultimatly loosing both of them. Dragoons could have been very usefull to grab an Atlantean Infantry from the deck or a Marksman to start popping my cards. Unfortunatly his bad use of cards cost him a few rounds, maybe even the match, although that is unlikely.
- Siding: 3/8
One Shadow Imprisioning Mirror is fine, but ultimatly not enough. Easily destroyed.
His other sides were The Tricky, which is absolutly weird, as he cannot even be used to trigger Atlantean's effects and is unable to be summoned as long as Ophion is on the field. Considering that Ophion is a staple against a deck like his, he relly should have gone for something else.
Torrential Tribute was a nice side, to get my monsters of the field as soon as possible and make air for his plays.

Single Deck Construction Total: 9/13 points
- Number of Cards: 3/3
40 cards.
- Consistency: 2/6
Didn't pull off anything. Casual summon of a normal monster and managed to do a single XYZ summon. No other combos. This is hard to evaluate because he really didn't get much chances, but his deck was stuck in a situation where he had no outs and kept normal summoning lvl4 beaters.
- Originality: 4/4
You don't really see many of these. It is a simple concept: Vanilla lvl 4 beaters and Skill Drain. Problem is that it works a bit slow, due to the heavy relying on normal summons.
Single Performance Total: 12/15 points
- Rulings: 4/8
Had to look up things like Spell Speed in his rulebook, but he understood quickly and was able to answer my questions.
- Focus: 2/2
As always, focused, thought about his moves and didn't miss anything.
- Use of cards: 5/5
He did what he could, but ultimatly his deck was too slow. I liked how he responded to my W Nebula Meteor with a Steelswarm Roach as it could have simply killed my Worm Kind on summon. Unfortunatly for him I had a Book Of Moon set. That move could have changed the game.

Attitude: 2/2
Had a few problems, but in all he was willing to listen. He was a bit spitefull, but I guess I'll let it pass.
Deck Variety: 3/3
Completly diffrent decks, one much better than the other. I was honestly impressed with his take on the Mermails.
Overall: 56/90
Very close, but welcome to Ra Yellow!
I was deeply impressed with your first deck, your second not so much. If you can create another deck like that and maybe find a few more outs of difficult situations, you can go even higher.
