Tier Testing System Empty

The System

Here at ODA, we have a very unique form of testing, which includes a very unique tester tier system. There are two tiers to testing: Ra Testing, and Obelisk Testing. As such, their are two Tiers of testers: Ra level testers, and Obelisk level testers. As a new member of ODA, you are automatically assigned to ODA's lowest dorm of Slifer, after you post 5 times. Once you achieve your dorm of Slifer, it means you are ready for a test here at ODA. Keep in mind, your first attempt into each dorm is free, but you must buy a retest item for each following attempt.

This would be your "Ra Test," in which you would find a Ra Tester and ask them to test you. If they do, then you will duel them in a non-meta match, in which we judge the basic parts of dueling, and treat it as if you are not a competitive duelist, in which Tier 1 and Tier 2 decks are banned, and you can be judged on creativity. The Ra Tester will have a small, and simple rubric that they fill out to determine simply whether you pass or you fail.

The next step is your "Obelisk Test," where you would seek out a tester who is certified to be of Obelisk level, who will test you. They will also have their own testing rubric, but this will be much more complex, and it is a Meta test. You aren't forced to use meta, but more than likely, you will not pass without it, and the tester will definitely be using meta. The testing rubric determines pass or failure, however, at the discretion of the Obelisk Tester, you may be recommended to move DOWN a level, to Slifer. Once you are recommended to move down, another Obelisk tester will look at your results and make a yes or no decision as to whether you should move down. If the decision is a no, then another tester would be sought out of any rank to break the tie.

The Ra Rubric is posted as a comment below this post, and the Obelisk Rubric is below that.

 I love you
Ra Rubric
(INSERT TESTEE USERNAME HERE)

Knowledge of Cards: x/25

  • How well did the testee know their cards? Did they have to take back plays because of a misread card effect or misuse an effect?

Knowledge of Mechanics: x/25

  • Did the testee fail to recognize any game mechanics? Did they try to use an effect at a time that they could not, or chain a card that they cannot chain to? Did they respond to a summon in a way that they normally cannot? Did they catch YOU on YOUR mistakes? Feel free to make small mistakes on purpose, to see if the testee catches them in the cases there have been no instances in which they would be able to.

Deck Build: x/25

  • How strong was the deck?  Did the testee have dead-draws, and did they seem to get their plays set up slower than a deck like theirs normally should?  Did their deck have the essentials needed to to make plays?

Originality: x/10

  • How common was the deck that they used? Did that have interesting techs? Did they use a deck that you had NEVER seen before, an idea all their own? Give them points for it!

Attention: x/15

  • Misclicks, misplays, both fall in this category. Forgetting continuous effect like an attack increase, or having to ask you what card attacked.

Total: x/100

Pass: 65 or more
Fail: 64 or less
