Chaos Dragons vs. Harpies
Match Results: 5/15
2-1 in my favour.
Ruling Knowledge: 10/20
2 correct answers, one half score.
Attitude: 2/2
No complainst at all.
Duel Control: 4/10
Game 1 he had nothing but backrow, which didn't give him any board control what so ever, as I was able to get rid of it very easily. Not even his only explosive play, making Zerofyne, did really give him control over the board.
Game 2 was a whole other story. I opened as bad as CDs can open and he opened pretty damn good. Once he had Dracossack and Zerofyne on board there wasn't much I could do, except for stalling it out a bit.
Game 3 was a bit of both. He tried to keep board control by swarming and sitting on Utopia which didn't really work out in any way. He exhausted his ressources very, very early and ended up dying to a Blackrose and the follow up plays I could do.
Use of Cards: 9/20
Game 1: Nothing to say really. He didn't get many possibilities of doing anything, although summoning Maestroke just for stalling purposes was a bit of a waste, I felt. Dweller, assuming you run it, to prevent Malicous and Plaguespreader would have been a better choice, as I would have nothing to summon and you would have not have the problem with my Synchros.
Game 2: I feel he desperatly tried to fill his board and kill me quickly, whilst it would have been enough to sit on Dracossack and keep poking me for 2600, keeping the rest of his cards as ressources to get rid of my possible answers. Instead he put everything on board and hoped it works.
Game 3: Same as above, just that this time it ended pretty badly for him. Used Channelar, Monk, Egotist, Zephyros and Hysteric Sign in the same turn, just to end up on an Utopia. He exhausted all his ressources in one single turn, which ended up costing him the match. I Blackrosed his field, leaving him with nothing on board and nothing in hand, whilst I had enough follow-up plays to keep the control, because I didn't exhaust my ressources in such a manner. If you can't make it game, no need to swarm the field like that. You could have used Monk and made one XYZ, but keep your Sign, Channelar and Harpie as well as Zephyros as backup. No need to make a 4 monster board if it can't win you the game.
Deck Consistency: 9/20
Seemed alright-ish, except or the first game, where he couldn't do much, due to his hand, as he said himself. Also, he didn't get thy typicall Haprie plays off, such as Channelar into Draco or Egotist into Chidori, etc.
The deck is way too based on swarming, whilst Harpies can be a great control deck. I was missing the Icarus Attacks, the easy Rank 4 plays, etc. Icarus Attck is one of the best cards right now and you can easily recover from it's cost with things like Hysteric Party or tributing Zephyros. (Yes, Zephyros can actually be usefull ON the field and not just in the Graveyard.) Maybe you should re-think the way you run the deck, because you don't always have to use all your thing sin one turn. Sometimes it is just better to play one thing after another, keep plays open, and have more possibilities than simply: "Either you die, or I die"
The deck could be much more consistent, if played diffrently, and maybe be cleaned of weird techs as Black Horn or XYZ Reborn.
Concentration: 2,5/3
Forgot Lyla's Milling, as well as Plague'S effect of banishing himself. From that point on, he stayed focused, though.
Side Deck: 8/15
Veiler is fine, although I doubt you will ever side in 3, so no need to have 3 in the side.
DD Crow is a nice side, although one is kinda.. weak. If you have the feeling you need Crow against certain decks, one on its very own won't help you.
MSTs are fine. I don't feel you really, really need them, but considering the amount of backrow heavy decks running around it might be better to just have them.
Light-Imprisoning Mirror/Shadow Imprisioning Mirror. Do you really, really need these? You know, siding is about helping your deck dealing with things it usually cannot deal with. It is not just about hurting the opponent. The Mirrors are solid sides, but I feel you might need other cards, such as Maxx C or Debunk more than the Mirrors.
Vanity's Emptiness is indeed a good side, or rather would be, if you played the deck diffrently. With Icarus Attack, Hunting Grounds and Vanity's you could have a very, very impressive control set-up, just that you only run 1 Icarus. Vanity's is useless in the deck as you play it.
Icarus Attack. One in main and one in side. Where is the third one? This is one of the most powerfull Traps for your deck and it should be in the main deck.
You should think about Maxx C and things like Debunk in the deck. And Imperial Iron Wall. Why not have that? It doesn't hurt you in any way, shape or form and it is a crucial card against the current top deck. Not just that, but it would have also been a major problem for my Chaos deck.
So, my advice:
-1 Veiler, -1 Icarus (MAIN!) and then remove amount of Mirrors, you are comfortable with removing.
+2/3 Iron Wall, +2 Maxx C, +1/2 Debunk
Deck Originality: 2/5
Harpies are Harpies, and the plays the deck could do weren't any diffrent. It didn't really have anything, except for debatable techs, that would greatly differ from other Harpie decks.
Total points: 51,5/110
Well, this wasn't you rbest performance, was it? Honestly, I feel the deck was the problem. You didn't really know how to handle it, and your build wasn't optimal either, yet. So, I'd recommend to keep practicing with the deck and maybe watch some duels of it, get some ideas and inspiration, maybe change some things in the deck around and you will do better.
This score would mean Slifer Red, luckily, you can't be demoted on a single performance.
