You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls in face-up Attack Position; attach it to this card as a face-up Xyz Material. You can only use this effect of "Number 101: Silent Honor ARK" once per turn. If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.

Number 101: Silent Honor ARK is a rank 4, aqua type, water attribute xyz. It has no extra summoning requirements so any deck with lv 4's can make it. This makes 101 one of the best staple generic rank 4's. The attack is 2100 which is not the strongest compared to other rank 4's but it can still holds its own. The defense is quite weak at 1000. The best thing about this card is its deadly effect. It can steal any card as an material. This effect is insane as it can get past effects like E Hero Absolute Zero, The Shining and Dracossack. The only disadvantage is that the monster must be in attack mode and special summoned to be taken by its effect. This card is the reason why you see dracossacks in defense mode. 101 even has protection similar to maestroke. But since you would most likely only have one material on him, he only has one extra life. Tell us your opinion about this card. Share some thoughts, opinions and discuss away.

It's the one of the only things you need to worry about when you finally get out Quasar Sad

. Or in my case, Red Nova. It's a great card Razz

b-but quasar can negate this thing's eff, and then since it detatched both materials as a cost, it'll kill 101.

101 here is liek, an example of what probably shouldn't exist. Between this and Castel you have outs to almost every face-up card in the game. As it is though, it's fun to use, and it's extremely powerful

You know how many things you can miss hitting with quasar? I block Lightning Vortex, he has a Dark Hole.

IF you plan on taking down Quasar, you normally have 2 outs.

If you wanna take out quasar, you use superpoly but lets just stay on topic xD

Number 101: Silent Honor ARK and the other most generic, staple rank 4: EvilSwarm Exciton Knight are the reasons why I run Breakthrough Skill in almost every deck nowadays, enough said.

Which is what makes it deadly. It sneakily gets cards without actually destroying them.

Actually superpoly is a good tech in most decks now.

this card shouldn't be a card of the week. it should be like 1 month or so ago when it was released. it's still great and all. it's just old. however you look at it. (you can say it isn't that old, which i agree to. but yeah. it's used so much that it's old and new at the same time. just like exciton. nothing new)

It doesn't matter how old it is. A dark magician can be card of the week if we want. Its just a topic to discuss some cards.

That's true I guess. But its only overused since its a staple in any deck that can run lv 4's. Its like Exciton or even maestroke, gaga etc. It just something a deck can use for that extra boost to take down annoying cards like beelze.

Doesn't mean it shouldn't be card of the week. It's a great card! It's only 1 of many COTW card's. Some people may not have known it existed. Heck I didn't know HAT was a thing Very Happy
