Background: When Tyson was 12 years old he had been dared by the school bully to climb to the top of the tallest tree in his home town of Batnox, only once he had reached the top he realised how high off the ground he was, his paranoia started taking effect and he slipped. This fall from a tree over one kilometre tall should have killed Tyson, however he was saved by a masked hero who goes by the name of "The Shadow". If it were not for The Shadow Tyson would be dead, grateful for being saved Tyson became inspired to one day become a hero and as such has a hero themed deck.

Background: Minato Namikaze renowned as Konoha's Yellow Flash was a legendary shinobi who became the Fourth Hokage. Following the event of the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, Minato was able to seal the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, Kurama by separating its chakra into two parts and sealing the Yang half into a small child, and the Yin portion within himself before dying heroically.
According to those who knew him personally, Minato was a very talented ninja prodigy — a rare genius that appeared only once in a generation.[5] He graduated from the Academy at the age of ten, and was added to a genin team under the tutelage of Jiraiya, who took a special interest in Minato, and took him on as an apprentice. He even believed Minato might be the Child of the Prophecy, someone who would someday save the world.[9][10]

Appearance: Pretty skinny for his age. Average sized height with longer dark brown hair. His usual attire consists of black jeans and his favorite white t-shirt, while also wearing a white cloak. The cloak has the symbols for "mist" and "valley" written in blood in the center back.
Background: Johnny grew up in Mist Valley all of his life. After many years, he grew to enjoy strategy based games such as duel monsters. He built a deck that contained Mist Valley cards, which were only available to those who resided in Mist Valley and took much practice to perfect. His strategy based intelligence became noteworthy and by the age of 18 was enlisted into Mist Valley's small army as their chief strategist.
Not long after his acceptance into the army, a war broke out near the borders of his homeland. The valley was under attack by a residing nation looking to claim as much power as they could; the Ninjas. The army of ninjas, led by the White Dragon Ninja, outmatched Mist Valley in numbers and strength. It was not long before the boundaries of the valley were broken and havoc broke loose. Soldiers were cut down relentlessly, until all that was left was the strategist center towards the center of the valley. Alister, Johnny's father and general of Mist Valley, was also in the strategist center when the attack was nearing. With his sword ready, he instructed Johnny to flee into the underground tunnels of Mist Valley, known only to a select few. As much as he didn't want to, he left his father and the others remaining to fight off the threat. As he watched from a distance away, he slowly saw his once beloved valley be burned and taken over by the ninjas.
On his own now, Johnny set out with nothing but a few survival supplies, a knife, his duel disk, and his Mist Valley deck. One night while travelling, he was spotted by a ninja wearing a white cloak and armed with a sword. As the ninja attempted to strike down the last of the valley, Johnny lunged his knife as a last attempt to live into the enemy. Luckily for him, it hit a vital spot and killed him nearly instantly. Given a second chance at living and feeling blessed from his deceased father beyond he stole the cloak of the ninja, and with his blood inscribed the symbols for "mist" and "valley" on the cloak. He wears it to this day to symbolize that he is the last of his valley. He's volunteered to take part in the games to prove to everybody that Mist Valley, although now only a 1 person clan, is still a force to be reckoned with. He's heard rumors of a descendant of the ninja clan that took his village taking part in the tournament, and hopes to encounter them to seek his revenge.
Special Skills: Exceptional skills at strategy, knowledge of a wide variety of decks, and doesn't quit till his lifepoints hit 0.

Love. Such an interesting word that fathoms so many thoughts- the image of a couple laughing together, a mother with her child, marriage. Such a small word that holds such a large meaning, this is a phenomenon in itself. Others say that minor acts have no effect upon major situations, but I disagree completely.
My name is Rose De Fleur. I was born in Venice Italy, October 9th, 1313, better known as the Italian Renaissance. My birth however isn't the most appealing of all births, not that many are appealing. On the day of my birth, my mother, expecting a son had exactly what she wanted - only two of them. My father, who was against the birth and strongly supported abortion since day one, was enraged at this. He could barely accept one child, much less two. He swore to my mother that he would leave her if she were to keep both children. My poor mother, who could not support herself at all with ought a husband was in complete shock at this, but had no choice to accept. My father suggested that they either kill the child, of they give it up for adoption, but neither of those were done. My mother decided that if the baby was destined to die early, it should die in the place it was born, in the same house, and in that same room.
I was the unlucky one left.
Screaming and crying in this wooden shaft of a house, myself as an infant was in need of help, of support, of love. As my parents left the small, wooden raggedy shaft, as they entered the canoe of a fairy-man on his way to Florence, as they settled down in their new foundation, I began to fade in this natural fabric known as memory. My own family remembered me less and less until a moment came where they even forgot that my twin brother, Violet de Fleur was a twin.
One person did remember me, however. On the day of my parents departure, a man on a night stroll heard the feint voice of my screaming. Usually, if a baby cries no one would think much of it, considering they have parents, but it seems that I cried a tad bit too loudly, praise god for my rowdiness . Rushing towards my home, following the noise of me wailing, the man eventual found a small infant covered in blood. He took me in as his own, raised me, and taught me that which I new not.
This man was an Arab. Seeing and Arab in Venice isn't the most common sight at all. He had a nicely groomed beard, short kept hair which was wrapped in a turban, and he was constantly wearing a Qamese, or a traditional Arab robe. The two of us stood out in public, me in m all-black clothing and scarlet hair, and him in his all white clothing and brown hair. He was about 6 feet tall, and was extremely kind to me. Still, until this day I recall his amazing teachings about loving your neighbor and brother, and caring for the as you were to care for yourself. What stuck to me especially was his teaching of orphans, and how neglection of an orphan is as bad as homicide. Thinking back on my life, I think he's right, if he didn't feel so much love towards orphans, I wouldn't be writing in this journal.
Oh life, with your strange series of events, why do I love thee so?
I only learned the story of my birth from a letter I received not to recently. It held the symbol of a Dandelion, the de Fleur icon. The letter was signed "With love, your long lost brother, Violet de Fleur." I suppose I'm wrong then, it seems I haven't been completely forgotten yet.
My childhood has been quite wild. Nothing made sense, yet I loved every moment of it. The again, what is love?
The Arab man who took me in, whose name was Ahmad, went back to his home in Saudi Arabia about two months ago, and I miss him already. Please forgive me, journal, for boring you, I only felt the need to reflect upon my life.

Background: Yoshino was born into a wealthy family.His Parents would buy him all sorts of items of the highest standards.His only stipulation being that He kept up with grades and extracurricular activities. One of those extracurricular activities was his high school swim team.In fact he was the captain of the Orichalcos high varsity swim team.
Yoshino loved to swim. He loved the sensation the water gave you as you dived in. The smell of pavement after it has just rained and the refreshing quality of water. However this wasn't the only reason Yoshino enjoyed swimming. He loved the sound of disappointment in his opponents voice when they lost, he felt complete euphoria in looking at the dejected face of his opponent after he beat them.
Yet despite his obsession with winning and water Yoshino is a caring person. He has his team volunteer at a local elementary school to help the students with their studies. He has also on numerous occasions donated money to the school to help with its finance. For these reasons do his team mates idolize Yoshino and choose to forget his problem.

Background: You find yourself in an old style Bar/Inn. You know the kind. Smoke fills the air like a thick fog, and some long haired hippy plays smooth jazz on the piano. Upon your entrance he looks towards you, never missing a key or breaking tempo, and smiles. The lowers his head again and continues to play. The bar keep motions you over, and as if guided by some unseen hand, you nod, and walk over. "Whiskey's all we got partner. That guna be alright?" Without awaiting a response, he slides you a shot glass. Something tells you that your obligated to drink. as you slam the empty glass down the man beside you smiles. A grin that one would call a bit less than "toothy."
"A fools anger is known at once. But the wise man holds his tongue, and waits."
A very wise man once told me those words. Now i pass them to you friend. What kind'a man are you eh? Whats that? Me, ha! Why, I'm just an old man, whose days are numbered. I suppose that holds true for all of us but for me, i feel deaths cold touch reaching out like an old friend come to comfort me, and place a sympathetic arm 'round these old shoulders. But i digress, you didn't come here to learn about me did you?
You'll be facing one of the most dangerous men I know. That's just me bein' honest with ya' kiddo. He may be young, but his hearts as even more icy than mine. He's a bit of a hermit they say. Wanderin' here and there. Writin' bout' his journeys everyone once in a while and such. But 'round here that kinda work don't pay too well. So, like they say. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I once seen Kai walk into this very bar. Walk right up to the very bench your sittin' at now. He ordered a glass of "The finest," and when the bar keep turned around. Kai pulled out a double barrel and well... that poor bastard never stood a chance. Course he did offer drink on the house that night. But he simply left, walked right out the damned door like it was nothin'. I heard someone asked him why he did it. "Strictly business my dear," is the response he got so they say.
So, what makes a man that cold that young? Well, ask yourself. When would you consider that you had nothin' left to lose?
The old man stared at you for a sec, perhaps expecting some sort of answer, or perhaps just letting the gravity of his story sink in. Finally, he replied once more.
No one knows who done it. Not even Kai, and that's prolly what drove him over the edge. But once night, while Kai was out. A bandit snuck into his house, and killed his wife, Emily, and his only son, still in the crib mind you, Brian. They say he was one of the happiest people you'd ever seen before that day. That he was generous, and kind, and had a smile that could light up the room, pardon the cliche.
So, my advise. Seein' as you got some kinda, er, tournament with the fella is it? Well, if you see him. Run. Just run. Run, and don't stop running. Don't look back, hell don't even think. Just bend them knees and pat them feet. Cuz even demons run when a good man goes to war.
And with that the old man bowed his head, looking at his own shot he'd been neglecting throughout this story. Hesitated for a moment longer, then turned the glass up. "Bar keep, get this youngster another round, on me. God knows he'll need it." Then he got up and walked to the door. He stopped, hand pressed against the heavy wooden surface, and looked back at you with sad, weary eyes and shook his head. Then disappeared into the cold, dark of the night.

Background: An underground duelist well known for his dragon expertise. His grandpa, who was dying, gave him 3 blue-eyes white dragon cards the night before his death and has since used them in all his underground duels. Due to this and the many tournaments he has won, he got the nickname Shiroryo (The White Dragon). Now he hopes to duel with new opponents from different places and ultimately prove that he is ready to take his place as a King.
Special Skills: Great physical abilities ( strength, speed, jumps, athleticism, etc. ) and great natural instincts/judgment.

Anum is what he is. The "fifth born". His childhood was usual, nothing exceptional. He ws a kid like the others, but all of that changed rapidly, the moment he truned 14. On that day, a secret he would have never imagined was revealed to him:
His family, descentends from an old cult, devoted to protect and serve the old egyptian Pharaos in life and death, still bow to the old tradition. On the day the fifth child passes his teen years, he is send on voyage, straight to hell. He may only return if he proves his worth to the family... and if he survives the Hunger Games. As per tradition, he is handed a deck very much based on his family's history, that gets enhanced by every user's hands it passes through.
He turned 20, passed his teen years and therefore the first 6 years of his training. 6 years learning the true history of Egypt and his family, honoring the long-dead Pharao with prayers and nearly forgotten rituals and just as important: physical training. 6 years of preparations for one sole purpose. Never was he asked what his opinion is. Never was asked how he felt about the tradition. Never was he asked if he was willing to risk his life, for supposed family honor. He quietly endured, learned, prayed. All for this day. He would go to the Hunger Games. He would survive. And he would never return home. |
Special Skills: Both Physically and mentally trained to highest levels. Extensive knowledge on secret survival techniques.

Appearance: Kat is a little small for her age, being approximately 5'4. She has green eyes, and black straight hair that goes down to her shoulders. For the hunger games, the clothing she has brought is a green miniskirt, with see-through black leggings and a red T-shirt.
Background: Kat was never sure of herself about anything. As of late, she started to get into dueling, infused by the heat of her deck master Laval Miller. As such when she gets angry or into a duel, her emotions flare up and she becomes very different from the shy girl she normally is.
Special Skills (NOT SUPERPOWER): Kat is resourceful and able to read people well, but besides dueling she doesn't have extremely special skills.
Deck Master: Laval Miller: Once per duel, you can send 2 "Laval" monsters from your deck to the graveyard.

(Which is good because of this next rule)Because of how the last games ran (C.C. sweeping the entire game), I've added a new rule. The object of the games is to now collect 4 souls to be in the final four duelists to play to live. So once you have your fourth soul (including yours), you are unable to duel anymore and you will wander around until the final area becomes apparent. I thought this rule was fair because it made it so everyone didn't have to worry whether or not one person would sweep everyone.Just as a reminder, once asked to duel, you must duel!!I've posted the effects of the fields already. I've gotten word that some participants aren't posting their dialogue or activities in the RPG. Take note that, you MUST do this. Otherwise the story won't make the most sense.
