Lesson #12: Direct Damage

Hey everyone, PTA here. This week we'll be discussing damage being dealt by anything but battle. Really just, effect damage.

Most archetypes in Yu-Gi-Oh, have a single, or multiple, cards that have the possibility of inflicting burn damage. However, certain users prefer to just make a deck completely constructed and idealized after 'burning' their opponent, or not battling.

There are infinite possibilities when it comes to constructing a burn deck. However, some of the most common and used are as followed:

- Chain Burn
- Continuous Burn
- HERO burn
- (My favorite and created) Macro Burn

Typically, most don't see burn decks coming. Typically, if you made a 'Top 10' decks of every format, most likely, you'd see burn on it. They're just not expected now a days. However, the one you'll see competitively is 9/10, Chain Burn.

But back to just dealing damage directly in general, as said previously, most decks have a card or two to make that possible.

For Spellbooks, I've seen Tempest Magician used for some ftk's.

For HERO's, I've seen an OTK with Blaze Fenix, The Burning Bombardment Bird.

For Gimmick Puppets, there's Gimmick Puppet Egg Head and Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Killer.

Even for something like Gravekeepers there's Gravekeeper's Cannon Soldier.

Overall, there's so many possibilities to inflict damage this way. So for your assignment this week? We're going to be keeping it a little simple. Win a duel against someone with effect damage. The finishing blow has to be dealt by effect damage. So battle all you want, but finishing blow = effect. Depending on how original it is, will determine your points. (They'll be an automatic 200 though)

Ehhhh burn decks aren't my style ill skip this lesson i do have a chain burn deck for trolling purposes and a fun acid golem control thing but yeah ....

XD I don't play them usually either, but just the final move has to be dealt with effect. So IDK, use Number 15 or Gustav Max.

I call it my boom deck, what I do is banish all of the monsters in both player's graveyards, and decks, then use "D.D. Dynamite".
