A Lonely Starry Night Empty
PostSubject: A Lonely Starry Night   A Lonely Starry Night EmptyMon Mar 25, 2013 12:59 am

They were so distant, so faint. Just frail little specs of light, whispers in a sea of dark, but it is not just black, not empty, not cold or lifeless. Shades and swirls, colors even in the pitch of night. They turn and move as he moved with them, as though that pale, almost silent, whisper, that slow churning was a part of him. It echoed, he could feel it, it was not strong, not more than a tingling, a faint shadow of a memory but it was there. Even when he closed his eyes he could feel it pulling at him. He looked up and he was small, but as he breathed, as he closed his eyes again and felt the rise, the fall, the echo, the silence, it was all connected, all linked together. Again he looked up, and again he was small, but as he breathed the night breathed with him, the stars flicker, and the stillness in the air shuddered around him.

There were more of them now, some strong and bright, bold against the growing pollution of the campus, but others, in the murk, in the cloudy depths so faint and timid that he'd had to stare off into the nothing for a brief eternity before he could see them, but they were there, and they are beautiful. So small and so large, so much larger than he could ever begin to imagine, our own sun a dwarf in their shadows. He shuddered to think how he must seem to something out there. Did he even register, or was he just a dream, and idle musing or something less, forgotten or discarded. Fancy. Fabrication.

Did the waves remember each stone they turned to sand, are the mountains carried on by the wind that makes them low, or are they lost to the many, faceless in a faceless sea? Could he remember all the lives that he had touched, had been touched by? Would they remember him? When Ky closed his eyes could he see their faces, faded like the stars? Must he stare into the nothing before they flicker, before they form and fill the void, the darkness, like whispers carried though the stillness of the night, or where they lost to him like so much else?

He could feel the cold now, the slow creeping of it up his legs, along his arms. He rubbed his hands across his skin, callused fingers hard and rough, familiar as they tried to chase away the cold. But it was not just the cold, not just the falling of the night nor the faint breeze the pulled loosely at his hair. He felt cold, and it was an empty sort of cold, a hollowness accentuated by the silence that he wrapped willingly around his form. It was his own creation, this cold, and maybe that is why it was so familiar to his touch.

He lets his hand trace though a pile of stones beneath the park bench on which he sat. He felt the cold within, but it was not the same as the cold in himself. Scooping some of them up he let them slide between his fingers in pairs, and felt their weight linger after they had gone, a memory in his hand, and then gone. It slipped though the frigid air, fallen through the spaces in the bench, to the faceless sea as he watched it disappear. He gazed, trying to find his stones again but in the growing twilight he couldn’t be sure, they had melded with their partners, splattering this way and that. He was alone again.

There was more truth, more art and genius in the idle musings of the man, in the simple stare and the play in snow. But it was beyond even him and his humble ways to convey it, to capture, confine it to a simple act or story for others to see, to feel as he saw and felt. In this brief Zen moment he was but a keeper of cheap tricks now found himself in the presence of true magic. Helpless and hopeless and lost. Alone. Empty.
The stars were gone, stolen back into the night. He looked up and he was small again. He breathed, and knew that that did not matter. He was here, content to look up and see the stars to wonder as they flicker, as they fade.

Slowly, the sun would rise soon, and steal them away for good. Rip away his musings and this time would be forever lost, a simply memory….just like Her. Why was she gone? It was his fault! He was too small to protect Her, his eyes only able to capture so much. It was he whom had killed Her. He leaned his head back, brought his eyes to a close, and began to doze off right there in that lonely, cold bench.

A Lonely Starry Night Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Lonely Starry Night   A Lonely Starry Night EmptyWed Mar 27, 2013 10:32 pm

Another night of insomnia struck the young girl of fourteen. Within the dark town that she was roaming about, it wasn't safe. Not this late or this early? She couldn't remember what the time was and her cellphone was left at her residence. She sighed once, feeling the drain of energy that insomnia was causing her. It also didn't help that the air was much more frigid than the other cold nights there have been. The girl was hoping her lung didn't start hurting from the coldness. Her one and only lung.

No, she wasn't born this way. She was born with a twin sister, a loving little girl who was just ended up sick all the time. It only took just a few years for the colds and flues to wear her body down and she ended up getting cancer. One little organism that cost her sister both of her lungs. She was happy that she could of saved her twin and best friend by giving up one lung. Although she was the strong and healthy one, she ended up having to take a bunch of medicine for one lung. The one lung that hurt during cold nights like this.

Ami-Ra, that was the name her parents gave her but her sister, the one she saved, always called her Ami, and the nickname stuck with her. All her friends called her that along with her parents. Ami-Ra stared at the ground as she walked along the sidewalk that was caked with snow. She loved the sound of the snow crunching beneath her feet. The was one of the reason she loved wintertime. Nothing else during all the other seasons ever made that sound when she stepped on something.

Something unseen caused Ami-Ra to stop in her tracks, the silence of the night played along with the ringing in her ears, the sound she associated with pure silence. She looked to her left, right, behind her and in front of her. Nothing was there but, what caused her to stop and look around? Perhaps something was watching her from afar? She didn't start walking right away, instead, she kept hear ears open in case someone would sneak up on her. The crunching of the snow would give away their position. Not a sound was emanated from anywhere.

Ami-Ra sighed once again as she thought she was just paranoid from being alone and the lack of sleep. She looked up at the sky, she could see the stars that twinkled away. Looking upon the past. It had to take millions of years for those far away suns to shine and to reach the Earth like many did. Beautiful, just plain beautiful. The deep purples and blues were swirling together, the sun was starting to rise in the east. Had she really walked all this night? She knew where she was but didn't think it would take that many hours to get where she was. The town's park was to her left, and it had plenty of undisturbed snow that she could have fun crunching onto.

The park was something she usually visited during the daytime, it looked spooky, almost haunted during the night. Ami-Ra didn't let the spookiness take over as she crunched onto the fresh snow until she saw fresh prints. Yes, the snow was falling with some wind, but the tracks hadn't started to fill in yet. Someone was here in the park. Since curiosity hadn't killed her yet, she followed them to a bench with a figure on it. She hadn't any idea who it was, but she did see that they didn't appear to look homeless, they looked, asleep?

Carefully, she walked up to them, seeing the puff of breath rising in the cold air, at least he was alive. She kept her distance from the figure, making sure she could run if he tried to attack but she hoped he wasn't that kind of person. She watched him for a few moments before uttering a small sentence.

“Um. . . Hello?” She spoke up, her voice was very soft and very caring.

A Lonely Starry Night Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Lonely Starry Night   A Lonely Starry Night EmptyThu Mar 28, 2013 3:02 am

A lot of odd things have been happening in his life: The Tornado, his greed, becoming a thief, his Feathers, the little man and the invitation...now he is lost in the middle of the night somewhere in Timbuktu. He had walked for an hour with the short man known as Henry Bokkle. He talked quietly with Sair about how he emitted some kind of beacon only those who are powerful in many magics can feel or see. As soon as he was thrown from the Tornado, he was under surveillance to this day. He also said something about having to go and meet some more kids with powerful, but incontrollable animation magic used by touch, and Sairento must find more people destined for the Magic Academy to help achieve a cloudy goal no fourtune teller or mighty magicain can see.

As soon as Sair had taken his eyes off him, he was gone. Now where do i go? He thought. About an hour passed as he aimlessly turned and crossed streets in the night. It was darkest now, with out the street lights, it would be hard to see 5 feet and further. Stopping dead, a crunching sound echos in the distance. Without hesitation, Sair remembers Henry also talking about drawing metal from things, shaping them, and firing with his mind like he did last year. Taking a good section from the streetlight's pole, he prepares himself, but slowly tipping the pole with a small Clang... as the shorted-out street light hits the ground very slowly. The crunchy sound stops as a flash of rainbow does in the lights.

A girl, around my age, out at this time of night? He gently set the feathers into a trash can nearby (Or what he thought was a trashcan.) and tread carefully through the snow. It crunched under her feet, but not his for reasons he didn't know. She continued onwards, then stopping about a block where he caught his first glimpse. She turned to a park and crossed an empty street to a lit park bench. It looked like someone left a bush and a wig there, but he could see breath. As silent as wind, Sair crossed and ducked behind a tree, hearing her voice for the first time. Very caring, almost healing no matter what she'd say.

A Lonely Starry Night Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Lonely Starry Night   A Lonely Starry Night EmptyThu Mar 28, 2013 9:55 am

"Hello," she'd said with a smile. She cocked her head to the side, and her eyes pursed together in the cutest of mannerisms. She had long almond colored hair and lightly tanned skin. Now, she didn't get to much sun, but she did get enough. She was sporty, rather short compared to Ky, and she was Spanish. She was perfection. Now Kay, was usually rather quick on his feet, and silver tongued. But when this girl approached him on the bench outside the private school he'd been taken back. He blinked and finally uttered a weak, "Er, urm…uh. Hi!" He smiled his biggest smile, and shifted on one leg while moving his right hand up to scratch at the nap of his neck. He thought to himself how silly he was, how goofy and awkward he must have seemed at the time. He also cussed Cody silently for introducing the two of them, although his roommate knew for some time he'd had a crush on the unknown girl. She giggled, and he laughed in return. "My name is Emily," she'd said, "What's yours?" He smiled, and took a breath. The worst was over, the ice was broken. "My name is Kyle, but please, call me Ky sweetheart." He added a little wink at the last part, it was playful and harmless and she humored him by laughing and smiling in return. It was that simple moment, that lead to one of the most tragic love stories every told; but that's a tail for another day. A simple. Hello.

“Um. . . Hello?” It confused him, why did it sound like a question? She was greeting him… Kyle's eyes quickly blinked open. He was no longer at the private school. He'd already finished, early and with honors. He was sitting outside, under the dim light of an early morning on a park bench some ways away from the Academy of Magic Arts; the equivalent of a college level for very gifted children. “Um. . . Hello?” He repeated it in his head, then his rather keen senses caught the presence of the strange girl beside him. He turned rather sharply for someone whom had just awoken, and looked at her. She looked young, though Ky immediately sensed magic prowess within the young female. Her voice had been so soft, it wasn't like Emily's which was rather strong and assertive for a female, but something about her had mixed into his dreams and created a memory of his lost lover. A shame, that the dream was gone that is. Her eyes where golden, not brown, and her hair was not almond, it was blonde and …rainbow? The last part made him blink a few times. Yep, rainbow indeed. She was White like him, not Spanish. In analyzing her, he'd been proven rather rude, so he quickly corrected himself. "Oh, hey there. Sorry you caught me asleep it seems." His voice was rather gentle. It wasn't extremely deep or hollow. Though, it did carry a slight hint of his homeland, Texas, in its accentuation. "Pardon me ma'am, but what are you doin' way out here? Oh, and let me introduce myself, the name is Kyle, but you can call me Ky, and you are?" He would have offered her his hand had she been male, but where he was from it was ungentlemanly to offer your hand to a lady, though polite to take it if she offered hers. Aside from his southern twang, there was a slight poetic value to his words, but perhaps it was simply the way he'd carried himself as he'd risen off the bench, and harmlessly approached her.

Ky had blonde hair, that hung down in thick straight lines past his shoulders. He stood 6'2'' and weighted 175lbs. All lean, and very fit. His eyes where bright green and his skin was rather pale, though naturally not from the cold. He wore a shirt that was black with neon writing that said "EDC" which he'd gotten at a rave he went to. Though this was hidden by a thick red hoodie which had "Winter Park" Written across the front, the latter obtained when he'd went skiing. Jeans covered his legs, and he wore a custom pair of Nike's that had and anime character on the side. They were very clean save for the fresh snow upon the tops. The clothing had not however saved him from an entire night of cold. He shivered and quickly drew some sort of symbol onto the ground. A series of circles with patterns and other shapes within. He glanced to the girl. "It's for warmth, not harm." He assured her as he shivered. It was an Alchemic circle for flame alchemy, or more accurately oxygen control. By applying some of his magical energy to the circle it began to glow, and the thin narrow pathways of extremely dense oxygen swirled within, constantly moving but very small and few in number. He reached into his pocket, and drew two rocked which he stuck together and created a spark. When the spark his the pathways within the circle the volatile oxygen burst making a brilliant flame which began to travel the pathways. Ky kept the oxygen flowing and regenerating making a stable, make shift camp fire. "There, much better," he said. After warming his hands, and his face for a moment, he'd noticed another presence, as few things escaped the rather analytical man's perception. Faint breathing, not the females, which was unusually shallow and fast in it's pace. But breathing much deeper, and most likely male. Ky placed himself quickly between the girl and the sound coming from a nearby tree before speaking. "Who's there, show yourself." The fire seemed to bend to his will and raised itself a bit, if need be, Ky could direct it to send flames towards the male, so long as his circle was not broken and so long as there was fire within it.

PostSubject: Re: A Lonely Starry Night   A Lonely Starry Night EmptyThu Mar 28, 2013 2:22 pm

The sound of his steps, crunshing the snow beneath his feet, was the only thing he perceived. His mind was in the sky, his thoughts dancing with the colorfull stars and nebulas. He felt small, irrelevant and still a feeling of happieness spread inside him. Nothing could possibly reach the beauty of the galaxy and the mere fact that his mind let him appreciate that beauty made him smile. The sound of the steps dissappeared, as his thoughts continued to wander of, on and endless voyage through what seemed to be a very own galaxy inside his mind.

He carried nothing with him, but the clothes he was wearing (dark blue, padded cotton pants, that disappeared in his high, brown leather boots below the knee together with a simple, white linen shirt and a dark blue, hooded coat) and a canvas backpack, filled with his books and a big piece of cloth he used either as a tent or as blanket. All he had with him was either self-made or gifted to him by the numerous farmers he worked for, excpet for the books. His only left over from the Telvanni Tower. The only left over from his former life. From a sad life.
It wasn't much but neither did he need anything else nor did he want anything esle.

As he stepped through the cold streets of the town he found himself getting cold. A feeling that always amused him. He could create as much ice and snow as he wished, without ever feeling cold from it. Instead, it somehow always felt warm to him, as if it was something familiar, a ghost returning to him over and over manifesting in the form of forzen water.
He decided it was time to search for the right spot to spend the night. The park he saw in the distance seemed like a good place, for both gathering firewood and building his night quarters.

...

Few minutes later he had all the wood he needed for a small fire, that would burn the whole night and keep him warm. Now it was time for his favourit part. He stepped in to the snow-covered grass, looked to the ground and extended his arms. The snow disappeared instantly, froming a perfect circle of green grass, with him at its center. He closed his fingers, as if he was garbbing the earth itself and slowly raised his arms, raising the water out of the ground, leaving behind a dry spot of green earth. He sat down in the center, cross-leged, eyes wide shut. A mere second later an igloo matching the circle's perfect shape rose from the ground, constructed out of perfectly shaped ice blocks. It had a small opening at it's top, an escape way for the fumes of the fire he was about to light.
He layed down inside his small dome, close to the fire to stay warm, letting his magic flow through the ground to prevent the iglu from melting down.

He closed his eyes, ready to let his smind slip into his dreams, as his sharpened sences reacted to something. After years living in the wilderness, his ears became very sensitive and he developed something as a sixth sence. A slight shiver that goes down his spine, usually a warning of danger or another beeing's presence. He sat straight up and layed a hand onto the wall of his igloo. A hole appeared in that spot, resembling a bull's eye. In the distance he spoted a young boy, sitting on a park bench. Together with him was an even younger girl, most likely it was her voice that he reacted to. The boy seemed to be lost in his thoughts and he dicided to do the same. He let the hole close again, layed back. Something about the situation he just wittnessed left him with an uneasy feeling. Should he open up his dome and step out? The thought started to loose it's grip upon him as he slowly fell asleep.

He was Marcurio. Not Marcurio Telvanni. Just Marcurio. He was free.

In the middle of an odd bliss from those words, the person on the bench moved. Only he talked for a moment before his call shattered his thoughts. "Who's there? Show yourself." He snapped from them and wondered. How'd they know? Were they faking sleep? Hesitating, Sair comes out from behind his tree to find a man poised to attack with fire. "Look, i dont want trouble, I got sent here randomly. Trying to find this Academy place in the middle of nowhere when i saw her go over to you." walks to them, hands up, when he spots a white patch out the corner of his eye. Putting his hands down he looks over to it to find an entire Igloo. He turns back to the man. "Ummm... That yours?"

Ami-Ra watched as the young man who was asleep finally stir then turn rather sharply. She jumped back nearly slipping on the snow. It was good that her boots had enough traction to keep her from falling into the tiny ice crystals. Her right hand landed over her heart showing that she was spooked from him suddenly awaking. The golden orbs that were her eyes made contact with his that were an emerald green. So very beautiful. A smile could only form on her face.

“It seems that I have. I'm sorry that I awoke you. I was afraid that you had died in this frigid temperature.” Her voice hinted with hardly an accent. Maybe she had one but she wasn't aware of it. She did notice his Texan accent which caused her to smile more. “Me? Oh, I couldn't sleep. Another night of insomnia kept me up. Thought a walk would wear me down so I could sleep, seems I was mistaken.” She let out a soft giggle.

The tiny hands that were balled up in her purple coat, finally came out of their hiding spot. They brushed off some of the snow that had clumped onto her rainbow hair. Her hair wasn't like that naturally, of course. She had platinum blond hair that she shared with her sister but when her parents were having trouble telling them apart growing up since they both had the same scars from the surgery, Ami-Ra dyed all but her bangs and fringe rainbow. Now her parents would never mix her and her sister up.

Ami-Ra fell into her memories when she came home from shopping with her sister one day and showing off her new wild hair color. Her parents were a loss of words when they seen her twirl her long hair around showing of the spectrum of colors. Her mother was first to ask her why which she only responded that she was tired of being mistaken for Anna-Bell. They parents understood but why with rainbow? Ami-Ra loved the rainbow and all the colors, made sense to her. Since then, she kept it rainbow for all the years.

Again she stared at the man who introduced himself as Kyle. “Nice to meet you, Kyle. My name is Ami-Ra. You may call me Ami, though.” She thought about extending her hand for a formal introduction but she decided not to since she knew her hands were very cold although they were in her coat pockets.

She stood there in her purple coat that wasn't zipped up. It exposed a black shirt with an anime character on it with the name under it in Japanese. She had on a super long scarf that was similar to the one the Fourth Doctor from Doctor who wore. It clashed but it kept her warm. She wore a pair of dark jeans that were form fitting to her thin frame. Black snow boots covered her feet with her bottoms of her jeans tucked in so they wouldn't get caked with snow or wet while she walked. She looked to weigh hardly anything, even if she was soaked and wet with two bricks in her pocket. When she looked up at him she saw how much taller he was than she was. It appeared he was nearly a foot taller than her, which wasn't uncommon. She watched as he drew symbols in the snow. At first, she wasn't very sure what he was doing until he reassured her that he wanted to warm up rather than to hurt her. When the symbols did as they were drawn for, she could feel the heat. It was very welcoming.

Ami-Ra was taken back when she saw him move in front of her. She was confused since apparently he knew that something was there. Perhaps she wasn't paranoid and there was someone following her and they stopped when she searched for those few, short seconds. Adrenaline poured into her veins, she was ready to flee at any given moment, she had no idea that who was nearby was friend or foe. Her eyes landed on the tree that Kyle's were looking at. Who was behind there?

Ky's eyes narrowed, focused, concentrated on the newcomer as he emerged from his hiding place. The boy looked younger than himself, and moved cautiously toward him and Ami. He wasn't overly threatening, but something about the boy with ash colored hair and grey eyes didn't sit right. He raised his hands, and assured them he meant no harm. If that was the case, why was he hiding from a young girl and a sleeping man? Ky relaxed, and stepped away from Ami, giving her some Space as he quickly pulled a permanent marker from his pocket and popped the cap. He glanced at the boy and quote began to write something on the sleeve of his hoodie, "Hide all text." As quickly as it was written, it vanished, as did the text on the hoodie that said 'Winder Park.' Ky smiled, and wrote something else, though as quickly as the words were written they vanished; Ky wrote with fast strokes making them hard to trace had one been paying close attention. "P..l… P…on.. o…. .h.. .y..lf .. c..t.c. ." Some letter's may have been traced but not all of them, and Ky was happy with the secretive spell he'd just placed on himself with the use of scripting. The stranger had mentioned something behind them, so with a bit of confidence Kai turned and looked only to see an igloo in the distance.

"It's not mine, but who are you to be so questioning, I'm sure a great number of people stay out here, we are only less than a block maybe from the main bulk of the academy, it's just east of here actually and they school owns this park." He looked back to the new male, and decided to lay down some questions of his own. "I'm Kyle Vaughn, A junior at the Academy of Magic Arts, but you can call me Ky, and what is your name." He quickly glanced back at Ami, and smiled his usual warm smile. "Are you both freshman? If you need a tour I can offer one!" The sun was finally cresting the horizon, illuminating the entire city with its golden warm bath, and classes would start soon enough.

Sair looked confused as Ky started to write on his arm. Maybe a phone number? Who knows. He looked into his face and smiled. "Sairento Soyokaze. Pleased to meet you." Sair holds out his hand for a handshake. "Everyone calls me Sair or Soy. And its really this close? Man, Henry is lazy for a little magic man. Not too surprised..." He turns to the bright sunrise and keeps smiling when he then notices the girl he followed, who is on the ground, breathing hard. "Hey, you all right? Need help getting up?"

The sun had finally rose to shine its rays onto the Earth for another day. The sudden brightness that hit the pure white snow caused Ami-Ra to squint before turning her back towards the sun to shield her eyes. It was until then she saw the small igloo that was several feet away. She could of swore that wasn't there before but then again, in the odd light of twilight, she couldn't make out anything. The young man who came out from the hiding spot had introduced himself. She was confused why someone would hide themselves behind a tree if they were trying to be sneaky and spy on someone.

“You know, it isn't nice to spy on others.” Ami-Ra looked at the young man who appeared to be the same age as herself as Kyle had moved out from in front of her. She assumed he was a freshman also.

A bit of curiosity filled Ami-Ra when she watched Kyle write something on his sleeve and she watched as the text on his shirt faded away. Was he trying to hide something from the new man who just showed himself? Did he not trust him? Perhaps that was the case since he didn't hide it when he was talking to her. She looked back the man who introduced himself as Sairento, she wasn't sure what to make of him yet since he was following her or Kyle or the both of them.

“Nice to meet you, Sair.” A nod of her head was given as she stuffed her hands back into her coat. They were starting to get numb from the coldness.

A smile formed on her lips when Kyle smiled at her for a moment, offering a tour. A tour? Of the academy? Her head swiveled over to the large building that had a glow on it from the early morning sun. Perhaps she could use a tour since classes were going to start eventually. She agreed to the tour and started to stamp her feet in the snow that she was standing in.

“Brr. . . . I think I should start moving around, I'm starting to get really cold.” A giggle escaped for the smile that was still on her lips. “So, shall we head to the building?” Her eyes went from Kyle then to Sairento and eventually ended on Kyle where her smile didn't fade.

"Yeah, was just curious why a girl as noticeable as you was walking around at that time of night." He stuck his hands in his pockets. "Hey, before we head out, lets see if anyones home..." Turning towards the igloo, he starts to walk over to it, gently knocking and looking for an opening to see through or enter. To no avail, he shrugs and prepares to walk off, wondering who he'll meet in this place Henry brought him to... Wait...Henry... He realised he must have forgotten about the thing Henry said: He has to find others destined for this huge school. When he remembered Ky and the girl, he cast his little quest from his mind for good, no longer needing to worry about it.

He'd found them already.

But the Igloo was stirring as his thoughts were broken once more, making him turn to it.

OOC: I would like to remind Valkoor Lightheart that he must wait his turn to post. There is a certain order, and you can only post after the person who last posted when you joined the RP. Any misunderstanding of this in terms should be PMed to me and not posted here, clogging this RP session.

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THIS RP!

Let me start by saying no one is in trouble for posting order, the Rp participants in general on this site may not have as much experience as some, but I would like to clear things up.

Posting order is important. It is chronological meaning you post in the order of 1-2-3-4. With the numbers representing the players. Also, do not control another persons character in your post unless your restating a move they have already made. This means don't make my character walk, etc, which i haven't seen any of just thought I'd address it.

LASTLY! THE POSTING ORDER OF THIS THREAD WILL GO AS FOLLOWS!

The NEXT person to post needs to be Rain/Gallows. SO please post when you can. AFTER WHICH THE POSTING ORDER WILL GO TO A 1-4 ORDER (One through 4)

Vent
Blazer
Valkoor
Rainmaker

At which point it will the recycle back to 1 (mysself)

SO again, Rain posts, then we fall into that order ok? Also new people are welcome to join, and post at anytime, but AFTER They post they will take the "5" place. Meaning they could do this.

1, 5, 2, 3, 4 (and then) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Understand?

I will be deleting this post as soon as the RP starts to get back into gear, as in after rain and maybe valk posts again in order, thanks guy, love the participation for this ^.^

It wasn't the hitting on his self-made sleeping quarter's walls that woke him up. Neither was it the steps on the crunshing snow, that approached his haven just before. Something else kept him from really slipping into sleep and now he was sure that it had something to do with magic. He could basically grab the thick layer of magical enegy floating over the park. The academy, for sure. All those powerfull mages in one place. How could he have not senced it before?

He saw a face, investigating the igloo at every angle. "I guess you don't see many of these around here." Marcurio thought to himself, immediatly regreting his flashy sleeping pod. "In the forest, I would be surrounded by predators by now." . He then reminded himself that he was in a larger town, and all he had to fear here was police and bureaucracy. Maybe he wasn't allowed to spend the night in that place? He knew how pointlessly fussy people could be.

In the meantime the person on the outside seemed to resign and turned away from the igloo, although he stood still after a step, like he was contemplating on what to do. Marcurio decided to check what was going on outside, he could not sleep anyways.
He sat straight up, with his legs crossed and with a simply touch he made a hole into the igloos wall, big enough for him to be seen completly from the outside and allow him to step out if necessary.

He raised his head towards the young man standing right outside, making his earrings clink.
"Can I help you?"

Kai was very careful to pull the sleeve of his jacket up only the slightest bit as he reached for the Sairento's hand; the motion was hardly noticeable. It cause his jacket to pull away from the hand as he shook the man's hand, so that Sair wouldn't touch his clothing. The reason was the hidden script on his clothing, though why he didn't want it activate remained a mystery, he simply didn't want Sair to accidentally set it off just yet. "Nice to meet you Sair," he said as he made good steady eye contact with the man. His distrust of the boy was fading, melting along with last night's snow which clung desperately to the cold subsoil. Ky smiled, and looked over to see Ami smiling at him, which he returned with the most subtle of winks.

He'd mentioned to them about the academy, and Sair seemed fairly intrigued by the fact it was so close. "Geeze, didn't you guys look into this at all? Maps of the city, info, etc? Or did your parents just give you a ticket and send you off!? Haha, in which case I think you're going to be growing up quite a bit here pretty soon." Ky teased at them, playful words as he began to take a step towards the academy."I'm just teasin', I recall being a freshman myself, and it can be quite overwhelming." Though Sair suddenly broke off towards the igloo, and Ami was still smiling at him, which he found rather cute.

No answer at first, but then, the wall facing them opened wide, another man sitting inside. No visible runes, no alchemic designs nor residue from mixtures or anything, which meant this one must have been a water elemental, and to have such speedy and precise control over the ice a rather good on e at that. He was rather mature looking, this one, with earrings, and a rather large build. He must have been near Ky's height, and possibly even larger in terms of solid mass. "This one… could prove interesting," Ky mumbled to himself. He watched, and waited for Sair and the new man to finish talking, then he would call out while cupping his hands to his lips to help carry his voice. "Yo! Wana come with us and get an official our of the school? Last chance, all aboard!" He smiled at the last comment, and turned to continue his step the way of the Academy; turning once more to the girl and smiling.

Ami-Ra had responded to Sairento before he trailed off to the igloo that was alone in the snow. She really didn't think much of it. Possibly other students had made it on their free time just because they could.

"I'm noticeable? How so?" She then remembered her full spectrum hair that was slowly swaying in the crisp, morning air. "Oh. . . It was the rainbow hair wasn't it? I was only trying to wear myself down to grab some sleep, but as you can see, still awake." She let out a soft giggle before watching him trail off.

Watching him knock on the oddly perfected square cubes, she shifted her weight from one foot to another. She was worried that something was inside. She didn't think that someone was actually asleep in something so cold, she was worried an odd critter was making the ice dome its home and if someone or something disturbed it, it was going to come out fighting.

While watching Sairento come back from the igloo since nothing appeared to be in there, she turned to Kyle who noticed she was smiling. She couldn't keep eye contact when he looked at her so she looked at her boots for a moment then back up when she heard Sairento come back to them. Upon looking up she noticed a hole in the igloo and a young man sitting there crossed leg and watching them.

Oh, so there was someone in there. He must be able to control water and ice. Ami-Ra thought to herself as she observed the man.

He appeared to be tall even while sitting down. He had an odd hair cut that she hadn't seen on someone before. The color of his hair was the color she fancied. From what she could tell, he looked much more muscular than what she could see on Kyle or Sairento. She seemed to be surrounded around really tall and strong looking man. The idea wasn't a bad idea though she wondered if there were any other females attending as students. She'd find out sooner or later.

Again she moved in her spot trying to generate body heat to keep her tiny frame warm. She was really hoping they were get going soon. Ami-Ra heard Kyle ask if the newcomer wanted a tour of the academy. She saw him stepping away, so she walked beside him wondering if they were going to follow along.

When she looked back up at Kyle before placing her eyes ahead to watch were she was going, she saw that he smiled at her which only caused her to smile more and she could feel her face grow warm. A blush formed over her pale cheeks matching her nose that was red from the cold. She couldn't believe that she was blushing, at a smile. She only hoped that he mistaken it for the cold rather than the blush it was.

Turning around and falling on his butt, the sight of the man in a mostly opened igloo startled him. "Could've hit the alarm earlier." He got up and brushed snow off and out of the back pockets of his pants. They were soaked now. After he asked a question, Sair responded. "Are you apart of the academy? We're heading there right now if you wanna follow us." He went over to the newcomer and held out a hand to help him get up. He was quite large in body, but still a Spell-Caster like himself and everyone else. "Names Sairento Soyokaze, usually it's Sair or Soy. Whats your's?" He asked.

A slight smile spread on Marcurio's face as the young man on the outside fell on his behind, obviously startled to suddenly have someone behind him, inside what seemed to be a sealed off block of ice. He got up, brushed the snow off of his clothing and immediatly invited him to join up on a tour to the academy. "He sure is fast to trust someone sitting in an igloo in the middle of a town. Either he is very confident in his abilities or he is just naiv."

"I apologize, if I scared you. Although I was very much suprised myself, to have someone poke around my igloo in the middle of the night.", Marcurio answered to the invitation. The boy with ash-grey hair and eyes approached him and extended a hand, as if Marcurio just agreed to follow him to the academy. "Names Sairento Soyokaze, usually it's Sair or Soy. Whats your's?", the boy asked. He looked younger than Marcurio, and not surprisingly, smaller built. "I am Marcurio. Just Marcurio. And yes, I am somewhat a part of the academy.", he replied with a slight smile on his face. "So the academy really is as close as I felt. I might as well join up.", he thought as he grabbed Sair's hand and got up without really using his opposite's help.

His earrings clinked again, a sound that takes him back to the day they were gifted to him every single time. It was a nice story. Maybe he'd share it with friends or family, someday.

"I assume these two belong to you?", he asked Sair, pointing his head to the small girl with a rainbow-coloured hair and her accompaniment, which's sex he could not tell from the distance. "Yo! Wana come with us and get an official our of the school? Last chance, all aboard!". A man's voice, certainly.
Probably around his age, but that was about the only thing in common they had, Marcurio observed whilst reducing the distance. He was slightly taller than himself, had blonde long hair, pale skin and a rather small frame, although still larger than the small, much younger girl next to him. "What a weird constellation we are.", Marcurio thought to himself, making yet another slight smile spread on his face. He flung his hood on to his head, mainly to hide his eyes that so many people seemed confused by and his ears from the cold, as he followed the young man that was already on his way to the academy.

A moment passed, and the new comer who's name he had not been able to hear from the distance and Sair started heading towards him and Ami, good. It seemed that he would join them at the academy which pleased Ky. All these new kids coming to train in the delightful art of magic, perhaps one day to become great mages themselves. It warmed his heart and put a skip in his step as he lead the charge into the rising sun and onward towards the academy. They would reach it in no time, but no need to let the mood die on the way there.

Kyle had glanced back towards Ami whom had a slight blush on her cheeks due to the cold, otherwise he might have mistaken it for flattery. "Cold still?" he asked her. "It will be warmer when we get inside, it's not far from here." As they walked, and as the two males caught up with them he began to notice the features of the new comer, his muscular build, his facial hair, all of it seemed rather mature, though Ky had not seen him around the school in the previous years, which was curios. "Pardon me, but I don't think I caught your name sir, mine is Kyle, but please call me Ky, and your's?" he asked. "By the way, how old are all of you? Ami and Sair I can tell ya'll are younger but you seem about my age, how come I've not seen you around?" he asked the larger male.

The played idle chit chat, with Ky pointing out places here and there, streets that lead to local eateries, night clubs, and other attractions around town, and finally, they reached their destination. A grand spectacle indeed, The Academy of Magical Arts! It looked old, like something from a forgotten time. Built in the fashion of a castle turned into a school, one might think of Princeton or Harvard. White brick seemed to glitter even in the dim morning light not from the light itself, but from the magically reinforced stone that made the school itself. The buildings rose tall, most built in cylindrical or rectangular shapes high into the sky and topped with roofs that seemed to be in the shape of hats; pointy and slightly curved. "This is it, the grandest of teachings one can find in the magical arts are found within. I suppose... I find it rather hard to just begin the tour with any one place, so allow me to make a suggestion, and then I'm free to let you guys decide what we see first." Ky turned to them, and allowed them to take a moment to get a good look at the structure. It really was quite massive, and secrets without number hid within. "I myself, specialize in Alchemy, and would suggest either visiting that wing, or the Library first, but only out of personal admiration for those locations. Please, if you would like to see something, or no something about the academy do let me know, as it would make my job much easier!" He laughed, and placed his right hand against the nape of his neck, rubbing it out of nervousness. It was going to be quite a handful to show these guys around.

((Author's Note: Feel free to add description to the school O_o. I just sort of took the idea from Hogwards and changed some stuff ever so slightly, so please feel free to expand on that as we explore the school or in your following posts, you don't have to, but feel free to. ^.^))

PostSubject: Re: A Lonely Starry Night   A Lonely Starry Night EmptyThu Apr 04, 2013 2:06 am

Ami-Ra awaited for what seemed like hours for the two to talk and for them to eventually decide to join the group. So it was just the four of them with Kyle being the tour guide? That seemed very well since she didn't like big groups. She always seemed to feel claustrophobic when she got in a big group. She could even be in the back or to the sides, or even in front, but knowing that people were around she'd start to feel antsy around them. It wasn't a feeling she liked, not one bit.

Memories of how she found out she was claustrophobic raced back into her mind. She was in the hospital with Anna-Bell right before the surgery, getting everything on record, which she didn't understand since she was her twin. They looked alike and everything, but did they really have different blood or something? All the medical stuff was beyond her comprehension so she decided to just stay silent and let them do what they needed. It was all for Anna-Bell anyway. The day before the surgery, Anna-Bell almost died. Ami-Ra was sitting in the bed beside her looking at a book when the monitors started going hay-wire and beeping and screeching. So many doctors and nurses piled into the room to revive the little girl. They revived her but she couldn't wait another day for that lung. They rushed them both into the operating room. Ami-Ra, since then, has never been comfortable around large groups of people.

Kyle's words brought her back from the lovely trip down memory lane when he was asking the name of the newcomer. It was a good thing she did come back from her staring off into nothing and reliving a horrible moment from her path since Kyle was talking to her. Well, not to,to her, just, she was involved. Her age? Ami-Ra thought for a moment since she never really payed attention to her own age even though she shared it with her sister. She only believed it was her sister's birthday since she survived. She really was selfless. But, her age. Was it – fourteen? Yes. Fourteen.

“I'm fourteen years old. I'm still a youngin'.” Her accent hinted at the end of her sentence. It hinted at something slightly southern.

Once the four of them were grouped up, the tour started. Kyle was naming off streets and places that were ignored when she was walking just not too long ago. The one thing that caught her attention was a night club. It sounded like it would be loads of fun but she very much well knew it was probably for adults only. She wasn't quite an adult yet so that would probably be out of the idea. Perhaps she could ask Kyle if there was any place for kids their age to hang out at night. It probably would come in handy if she was suffering from another night of insomnia. Walking past the restaurants, Ami-Ra felt and heard her stomach growl, loudly, probably loud enough for the others to hear. A blush from embarrassment filled her cheeks that finally settled from the blush that was there earlier. That reminded her if Kyle knew she as blushing because of him? That question would probably would never be answered. Though, food would be a good idea to get eventually.

While on the tour, Ami-Ra saw the building she was staying at for her time here at the academy. It was on campus but not attached building. It was really cozy since she had a really small apartment, but it wasn't like she had a boy friend who stayed there or her sister would have of tried to sneak in the car and stay with her. Unfortunately, Anna-Bell wasn't gifted with any powers, only Ami-Ra. Healing powers. Not like Sensu Bean healing from Dragonball Z, but she was able to help the healing process along so one wouldn't suffer as long. She found out she had this power when her sister was hurting from the surgery. Just laying a hand on the wound seemed to make it hurt a lot less. Just another thing Ami-Ra was happy she could do, heal others.

The academy that was off in the distance finally was into full view. It was a beautiful building. A castle of some sort that was renovated to be a school or perhaps it was built to be the school. Either, or, it was still a very beautiful building. When she was in the presence of the building, she could feel the aura of magic in the air. It wasn't strong at all, just enough to be noticed. A smile crept up on her lips as she looked around taking in every detail. It was so very large, she felt like she was going to get lost. She only hoped there was a map of the campus so she wouldn't get lost. It would help so she knew how long to put in between classes to get from one another. Again, it is magic perhaps the form of transportation was teleport. The idea caused her to giggle slightly.

Ami-Ra looked at Kyle when he wanted suggestions of where to start first. She thought about what rooms she wanted to see first but nothing popped into her mind. The only few things that did was to go all the way to the top and work their way down, but that seemed it would take hours if they did it that way. And it would be hours if they worked from their way up from the bottom.

“I can't think of a room that I would like to see. I was thinking of suggesting to start from the top and work our way down. Though, that would probably take a very long time to do so.” Her stomach then growled again causing her to blush again. “. . . And my stomach would like to know where the mess hall is at.”

He was an alchemist? Like the ones from the anime where they used one thing to make another? Or was it like from the video games she liked where one would make potions and such? That would be a question she'd ask once she got the time to talk to him one on one. She was curious were the healers wing would be or if there even was one. If his alchemy was the healers type perhaps she'd be in the same classes with him. The thought caused her to blush again. At this rate, she was thinking of putting up her hood to hide all the blushing that was coming from her.

"I'm 16 right now. Just learned of my feathers i guess... yesterday. Guess I'm up for anywhere, really." He kept walking. The girl he'd never introduced himself to spoke. “I can't think of a room that I would like to see. I was thinking of suggesting to start from the top and work our way down. Though, that would probably take a very long time to do so.” She paused. “. . . And my stomach would like to know where the mess hall is at." His stomach growled in agreement at that last sentence. "No arguments on food. Should we head there first?"

As Marcurio approached the two other night owls, he could first see all the small details.
The youn girl was very frail, and breathing heavily. She had been hopping from one feet to another previously, the cold was niggling her. The small red tint on her cheeks, was barely noticeable before her radiant rainbow-coloured hair, that made her stand out in between most other girls her age, Marcurio had ever seen.

As for the other male, Marcurio's first impression seemed to be confirmed. They were around the same height, but the blond man's slim frame made him look a bit taller, and in combination with the gentle facial features and the long hair, it also made him look much more feminine.

He could see how he turned his head to side, just slightly, to check Marcurio and after a few seconds he broke the silence, that had been solely interrupted by the sounds of their steps before:
"Pardon me, but I don't think I caught your name sir, mine is Kyle, but please call me Ky, and your's?"
[color=orange]“I'm Marcurio. Pleasure to meet you“[/orange] the largest of the group responded with a slight smile on his lips and an amused tone. He has been mistaken for much older than he actually is on plenty of occasions, but never had he been adressed with „sir“ by someone his age before.

"By the way, how old are all of you? Ami and Sair I can tell ya'll are younger but you seem about my age, how come I've not seen you around?" he continued his questions.
The only girl in the group was the first to answer: “I'm fourteen years old. I'm still a youngin'.” Marcurio could tell that she had a very slight accent, but to tell her origins just by that was impossible to him.
Next, Sai raised his voice: ]"I'm 16 right now. Just learned of my feathers i guess... yesterday.“ “Feathers? What an odd answer.“ he thought to himself, looking over to the boy who had brought him into this little tour.
Now it was his turn to answer: “I'm 18. I assume we are the same age, so no need to adress me as „sir“. and in a more serious tone he added “As to my absence: I never intended to follow the invitation I got quite a while ago, but ultimately I decided it would be the easiest for me. I'm a late entrant, I guess.“

The tour continued to the old fashioned town, with Ky pointing out all kinds of places that might be of interest for any of his 3 followers. Finally, they stopped.

A majestic building, white and glowing as the stars, occupied Marcurio's whole field of view. It reached far into the sky, with it's cylinder structures and together with the odd glow, it hinted that it certaily was not build by physicall means alone. He had pictured the Academy to be such an old building, just like town surrounding it, but he could have never imagined a mere stone castle to look as magical as the one right in front of him.

“Library sounds very good to me, as it is a place I plan on spending a lot of time in, but if the mess hall sounds so tempting to you guys, I don't mind head there for now. I can always find the library on my own later. At least I hope so." He added that last sentence with a smile, as he knew that he could hardly orientate himself inside huge buildings. And this was definetly one.
