Alright, first post. YAY!

Okay then, i have a tournament next week, and as the store only runs one every 3 months and there isn't really anywhere else i can conceivably go to (1 downside to living in the middle of nowhere), I really wanna win. I know the deck isn't original, and once I finish ma ninjas, I probably won't use it very often at all. As it stands though, I just need to make sure its okay:

Basic Dark World strategy, what i need to know is about the side and trap lineup, since i cant do much about the extra (i seem to be anathema to XYZ monsters -_-)

The idea is that the sheer amount of draw power draws you more than 1 reckless, then you spam draw for lots of cards to go for game. But taking out reckless is something I've thought about taking out before, but it always performs amazingly well afterward. If I were going to take out, what would you suggest to replace it?

Thats 1 card...but can I ask now: if high priestess targets a spellbook, then dark smog can chain and banish it, which renders high priestess unable to banish another spellbook, right?

Looks like a good Darkworld deck, but got something to replace pearl? I have one, but I never use it because it's basically a level 7 that can overlay instead of tributing.

As far as i'm aware yes you could do that with smog, but then they could just target a different one to banish so :p

Take out pearl? Why would I want to do that? Pearl = 2600. At the moment, the only Rank 4 of that atk is Bahamut Shark, which im reasonably sure noone is playing (well, maybe 1 or 2 people...). Point is, having access to pearl is pretty awesome, especially considering that everyone else is going to use one as well.

I'd rather not be playing Utopia Ray, but XYZs seem to flee simply at my prescense

Mr Alexio: Goddamnit! Problem is, I know that theres at least 1 guy whos huuuuge on prophecy, and I have a pretty good chance of having to duel him. I faced the deck once, and hated it. Although, my bias against them might have something to with the fact that trying to build them was terrifying on a budget.

From my experience the best approach for proph is to simply overpower lol

Well in my DW i find 3 Beige to be better than running Goldd, because if I somehow can't discard I can normal Beige and bounce for Grapha. Also, ever think of Trance Archfiend?

@Evilpath: For a long time, I actually had trance in here. If I remember, whilst I owned 1 tour guide I ran 2 trance, and then I had 1 copy in here with 2 pot of duality (for consistency), which I took out for triple upstart goblin, since I just seemed to find trance too slow. But does 3 beige clog? Im curious, because I've only tested with 1 beige and 2 beige (-goldd), and how does it work with the rest of the deck. I have a feeling you're running trance, so I have some ideas...

Also, can anybody help me with trap lineup and side? I'm really not sure what to play, and as the metagame I'll be playing in is rogue, rogue, rogue, I'm not quite sure what to play in the side.

If Trance was too slow, you could try Fabled Raven. In the best case you can get multiple DWs out and Raven gets 400ATK for each discarded card.

put cards like deck devastation virus in for targetting grapha

raven looks worse than trance tbh. also, Deck Dev. is in the side and i dont actually own eradicator . Plus, whenever I have grapha out, I need him more for beating and not controlling.
