I've often pondered on one specific topic lately. Now, mind you I am normally plagued by an ever screaming crowd of thoughts and ideas. A condition some might even consider insanity, but mine none the less.
Liberty. What is it? Webster Defines it as "the power or scope to act as one pleases," as a secondary definition. I must say I really enjoy the phrasing. So, do you possess this "God given right?" Or, are you instead following orders?
Yes, I mean to sound as selfish as possible today. But it's something worth having. The power to do as you please. To say what you want to say without fear of ridicule.
You see my friends, contrary to popular belief, words CAN hurt you. But take it from me, and my personal experience. It's words withheld that hurt the most, not the ones spoken.
So, in closing. Lets just say I've been on a bit of a journey to find my own personal liberty recently. It boils down to being able to walk out of the house, and just... keep on walking. For hours even. The first time I went on one of these little nature walks I was immediately questioned as to my location the past few hours.
Of course, the answer I gave, "I was outside smoking a cigarette," was put into question. And then it struck me. I do NOT have to explain myself. The act of doing so it simply out of respect.
So my advice my friends. Is this. Shine brightly. Reach for the stars, and make mistakes along the way. Because it's YOUR life. YOUR future. YOUR choices. And YOUR mistakes. Do not let ANYONE keep you from making them.
Have a pleasant evening all of you. Ja Mata.
