Considering there are only 2 testers in this acad, I think every staff mod and higher should also be allowed to test and if they are allowed to, they also should have the responsibility to test new members, considering the considerable amount of un-tested members here. Also appoint members you trust and are worthy duelists as testers.

Testers must be good duelists. Some of us are good duelists, but we don't really work well as testers. You could be a great duelist, but suck hard at rulings. Or even the opposite. Some of us are training for it though so dont worry about that.

Yes, i have waited for a long time for a test too after i bought the dorm advancement test, about an hour ago i meet a tester in DN he can test me, after i asked he say later, but he gone offline before tested me, Lelouch is right we could need some more tester we can start by making tester recuiting.

Don Patch, honestly its not that hard to be a tester, you only have to be an average duelist who knows basic rulings.

Ehh. I'd be nice if I was good enough to be a tester then I would, but we just don't have too many at the moment.

The reason why mods and admins can't all be made testers is because they aren't necessarily chosen for their position for their dueling skill, but their ability to manage the site. Granted, they have to be at least a little skilled, but not so much. Second, not all admins and mods make good testers, because they are too easily impressed, haven't been TAUGHT to test, are busy with their staff duties, et cetera.

Also, testers is a hard position to get people for. It is the hardest, most taxing position (at least when there are only a few) and probably has the least prestige and rewards. Besides that, the tester should ideally have Obelisk level skills, preferably mid-Obelisk, and they have to have good ruling knowledge as well as field awareness. Not only that but they have to be responsible and hardened so that they don't award extra points to friends, and don't award extra points for feeling sorry for someone.

I think you guys have too high of expectations for testers considering you only have 2 -.-. You don't have to be taught to be a tester if you can read a test rubric.

Considering like only 4 people here are obelisk's we don't have a lot of options for testers. We need them to be good. If we just hire anyone then will just put any up to obelisk easily like Sylveraine said.

We do test people. People get a free test when they join. Most people tested and got to slifer. To test again they need to pay OD. People first work hard and get good enough then get tested again so they don't waste OD.

Pyro never got tested because when he joined you had to wait a week before a test. And he hasn't ever been on since then. The rest, yeah we are little low atm because Gallows quit, Jason went inactive, Sylveraine is busy etc.

If you want i can test You, Soul, Marko, and Pyro and i guarantee u wont get passed slifer..  Its true we dont have many testers but the people who r testers are the best pls be patient and wait theres a reason why these testers are our best and that is because they also have the patience to test you

Besides, most of us aren't gonna pass ra. Half of us know how to duel but nothing about YGO. The other half, knows of neither, and if they do know of dueling, its not that much. Im gonna have to side with Kira on this one btw you guys need to practice more. I say this in the nicest way possible.

I'm sorry for bringing up a high standard and foundation for testers xD. But yeah it needs to stay that way. ODA has always been a place with only 2-3 testers, and we have done fine that way. It was extremely bad when we ALLOWED mods, admins, and other staff to test, and I ended up having to fix all of that brought up as a tester starting. You are seriously telling me you want results like this?

Kira and Don are both right. After dueling a good amount of the people we've got to offer at this academy I would say that we have a lot of remarkable duelists. A good chunk of the slifer aren't a joke either: there are slifer with potential that exceeds me I can vouch for that. From looking at a good amount of people here, there is either people who are rusty on rulings who can duel well, or people who understand rulings/game mechanisms fully and are weak at dueling. I've seen little to none who are perfect at both to the point that they could be a tester. You need someone with exceptional skills to be a tester. I mean shit, look at Syl. Before I faced him I had never heard of a plant deck (without the e dragon trash) that could work good on it's own. He's a fantastic duelist who every time I duel I learn more and more from.

The way things are run at this academy is a lot better than most. A lot of other academies will have "average" duelists to be testers and honestly that's a shitty academy in my opinion. When I got tested at my first academy before this, my tester was a joke. I got challenged by some gem knight fusion deck with a tester who didn't know rulings too well themselves. I got placed in the near highest dorm there but honestly, I know I didn't deserve it. At least when you face someone like Syl you're going against someone who is giving 100% expert level dueling. Seeing how you face against someone giving it their all at an expert level is better than someone giving their all at an average level; it gives you a better idea of where you stand.

If you want to be tested so badly then be patient about it. If you don't like waiting then leave. I could personally do without the burden of people bitching about our lack of testers, and frankly I think everyone else would be done a favor as well.
