Having more than just ghostrick monsters would be a start. I personally haven't ran them myself; I tried once but like you I couldn't get the build right/stopped caring enough to. For starters though throwing in more monsters that work off of being able to flip themselves back into face-down defense position (des lacooda, guardian sphinx, golem sentry, etc) would be really good and trolly for your opponent. Not only that, but if you try out shifting shadows you can rearrange all of them so if your opponent wants to get rid of one and you have multiple on the field it makes their life a lot more complicated. I don't have a lot of input though. I've only ran up against these like 5 times before and those seem to be general methods they all have going on in their decks
