This is an idea i came up with for ODA. As most (if not all) of you know konami comes out with a banlist every 6 months. However, sometimes there are cards that dont need to be hit as much as they are and sometimes there are cards that should be on the banlist but aren't. So an idea i had is that here at ODA everytime a new set is released (excluding reprint sets) we create our own banlist. The banlist will be created by the admins and mods with other members inputs considered. Everytime a new banlist is created for us we could use this ban list in a tournament. The banlist could also be allowed to be used in arena duels here at ODA.

Also creating a new banlist everytime there is a new set could help solve the problem of having to wait months before cards get hit. such as spellbook of judgment or as i feel need to get hit, elemental dragons.

this would be nothing offical for konami just a banlist for us to use here at ODA for arena duels and some tournaments and if both players in arena duels you may still use the konami banlist.

sorta but i mean for like tournaments/arena duels like every e dragon would be at 1 or 2 also testing could use the ODA ban list as well.

Not a good idea. Sounds butt hurt to me. This would just encourage others to play bad decks.
I've never liked the idea of having decks other than Exodia, Burn, Stall and Mill on an academy banlist anyway.

I feel like this will only limit somebody's ability to be interested in a deck, or learn how to use it.

I think its only usfull for tests and arena duels. tournaments whats baned and not baned has always been up to the person that made said tournament so imposing a set ban list would only make people unhappy. Not only that but baning and limiting cards should be voted upon and every one get an equal say but the must list reasons why that card should be limted/baned and if that card is limted or baned should something come off the ban list because that went on the ban list.

I do not really think this is useful. I mean, besides Stall, Burn, and Exodia, it would limit the players' abilities by causing them to learn another metagame. Cards you would not have to worry about at ODA would be serious threats everywhere else, and our members would be smashed because they cannot use certain cards or are not used to needing to worry about certain cards.
