[color=cyan]Recently, the teaching technique used for the Slifer Red has come into debate with several members of the staff. It has come into a mutual agreement that a new technique will be used to teach the Slifer Red student.
So, ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you: Operation Teach De Slifer!
What is it?
Operation Teach De Slifer is a technique designed to give Slifers the one on one attention they require in relation to their lessons they receive from teachers, while still learning and understanding the importance of what they are being taught.
How does it work?
It's simple; allow me to relate the analogy of a school to ODA. Think of the Slifers as a class, and your fellow Slifer-members as your classmates/peers, and of Taisakuno Shouri as your teacher. Now, class will go as usual; A lecture will be given, explained, questions will be answered and homework will be given.
However, that's where the question comes in; what if one student requires one on one assistance with their dueling, ruling, deck building, homework, etc.? What should they do then? It's simple! They request a tutor!
A tutor will do everything a normal tutor would do; give extra and more personal help in subjects related to what is being taught by your teacher, help with homework, and provide a little personal information and explanation where needed. This will allow students who wish to aspire to the rank of Obelisk to learn what they need faster, and become a better duelist at quicker duration's of time!
Why haven't we done this before?
It's really quite simple, really. Unfortunately, the teachers don't have the free time required to give each student a personal and private individual lesson. They do their work to the best of their abilities, and, sadly, this doesn't allow them to work with students individually. However, now, with a growing community, as more students come in, it has become imperative for some tactic to be used to assist the ever-growing class, and help then into Ra faster. As a result of this, Operation Teach De Slifer came to be.
Who is available for tutoring?
Sadly, as there aren't many people with plenty of free time on their hands at the moment, I myself am the only available tutor. However, in the future, we hope that more people will volunteer for this position.
Will I earn OD from doing this?
You will neither gain nor lose OD from requesting and learning under a tutor, until further notice.
Is this only for Slifer's?
As the Ra and Obelisk Community isn't nearly as enormous and diverse, and the material taught in those two dormitories aren't nearly as confusing and Controversial, and are more straight forward, for the time being this will be a 'Slifer Only' program. However, in the future, as the subjects begin to widen, and the community begins to grow, this opportunity may be given to other dormitories as well. However, only time can tell.
How can I become a tutor?
Being a tutor isn't nearly as simple as telling a Slifer the answers to their homework, or telling them what card to add and and what card not to add to their decks. It is a bit more complex than that, and cannot be explained in a matter of days.
Untill further notice, if you would like to try out for the Tuto position, you must fulfill quite a few requirements.
1. You must be of the Obelisk Dorm Rank. Exceptions may be given.
2. You must have a minimum of 75 Posts on ODA
3. You must speak to both myself and Taisakuno Shouri, explaining why you feel you should be a tutor.
After all of these are done, questions may be asked regarding your knowledge as a YGO Tutor ; these questions aren't common knowledge, so don't get your hopes up.
