Just a random suggestion that I think could go down well...

Perhaps every Friday night we do a quiz night?
*Yu-Gi-Oh questions obviously, unless we want to do other genre questions:L?*

Could say 10 questions a quiz? dorm vs dorm so you'll be in your dorms competing against the other dorms.

Could be a prize at the end not sure, just a quick idea that came to mind.

Thoughts?

Would need to be timed, hell we cud make it jeaporady format Lol

Well I could help you get this off the ground given my new position and such. I'll tlk to some of the other staff about it, as I'm still the new guy in that regard (staff) so don't want to just tell you yes and then it get shot down.

General ideas Id say are doings it weekly seems like the immediate choice, but i wouldn't say a great one. Simply because it would get old. The first week a ton of people would do it and slowly people would fall off, not to mention writing questions each week would get to be a bit of hell. Monthly however....would definitely be doable. So would Bi-weekly...

I'd have to agree our dear friend Mr. Pimpin on that one. As far as the Jeopardy thing goes can't say i've actually watched the game show enough to understand how that would work but I'd say a time limit, a short one, would be the best way to prevent cheating. The people who actually KNOW the rulings and such would be able to answer a lot faster than those looking things up. Beyond that there would have to be some sort of monitoring system still with a time limit like maybe a live chat discussion. You ask a person, they have 5 seconds to answer after which time the question is lost to them.

Delegate an admin to each dorm to ensure no cheating? or skype call? I'm not sure in all honest about that.

Skype call would prevent people who don't have skype from playing. And the delegation thing would only go so far.


When i say some sort of monitoring system it would have to be like whom ever was hosting the quiz that week, maybe a chat based sort of way of doing things? Where lets say Nottu hosts the game. He asks the Slifer dorm a certain question like, oh i duno. IF its card based anything from like "Does MST negate?" XD or if its anime based "What is the pharaohs real name" Obelisk dorm and Ra cannot answer but Slifer has 5 seconds to answer, only the first answer counts and if they get it wrong the question is asked again to the next dorm.


Again flying off the top of my head but something like that.


If it was just sort of like a PM based thing, the host would declare the start of the game. Everyone would have 5 minutes to finish a worksheet and pm it it Nottu or whomever and in 5 minutes the host would declare the game closed, and anything sent in after that point would not get scored. O_O.....something like that? XD

ask a question with no clear answer . There harder to make up and googling dosnt allways work for these. Or course a time limit say around 15 to 20 seconds should still be appilied
