In the first turn of the first duel he managed some back row along with two Gene-warped Wolf along with a Fire Formation - Tensu. At one point he got out Fairy King Alverdich. Gem Merchant by the way was a very nice card to have in the deck to bust out and kill my Dark Armed Dragon. He managed one Gene-warped Wolf but a LOT of backrow. However from what I did and saw it seemed he lacked counter traps. The Duel went by fairly quickly because he did manage to pull off just enough traps to stop me. I lost that one. He had Rescue Rabbits for monsters which was nice considering most of his monsters are normal anyway.

At one point he really wanted Fairy King to get rid of my DarkFlare Dragon. To do this he used monster reborn on one of his wolves. However he failed to realize that the strongest monster in my grave was lightpulsar dragon. Not only does it have a higher base attack for if/when it gets attacked, but it was the strongest monster in my graveyard and would have most likely had a decent chance of being summoned. Not even knowing what was in my hand was dangerous because i had 3, soon to be 4 cards. Plus if he had done that he would have had one extra monster (one not used to Xyz summon) to either attack or defend with. Other than that he did everything I think was a good choice.

He sided 2x Macro Cosmos, 1x Rivalry of Warlords, and Mind Crush. I personally dont see where mind crush came from but the other 3 cards for fantastic. The Macro Cosmos would lock down my banishing. No wyverns fetching me cards, no summoning of BLS, Chaos Sorcerer, or special summoning lightpulsar from my hand. Rivalry of Warlords was another great choice! Bring me down to 1 type of monster. My deck has a HUGE range of monsters. There are dragons, plants, spellcasters, warriors, beast-warriors, beasts, zombies, fiends, and machines. If that card was out that would have been DEVASTATING if i couldn't lyla/MST it. However, my wonder is why there is only 1 rivalry of warlords card used. I would assume that means you have only one in your whole side which you probably could go two or three. There are a lot of powerful decks out there that use different types of monsters like lswarms, lightsworn, etc.

I personally have never seen Nordic beasts used extremely well. I personally think that must be the deck type but i have never tried it and i havent seen it much so i dont know for sure. I kept throwing graphas at him along with viruses. He managed to last quite a while even though i was giving him hell, which i thought was cool. Your cards always served a purpose that bought you time. If i wasn't giving you hell they could have bought you synchro's/ Xyz monsters. I managed to luck out and have deck devastation virus in my first hand against nordics. From what he discarded i could tell he would have gotten a decent defense had i not drawn one of those 2 cards in my whole deck.

I almost never see nordics. Nothing special but you don't need it to be special to get all 4 points from me for that deck.

He did exactly what he could and more. When i was destroying his backrow with my graphas he would activate that card if it was a trap, he brought out defense that made him last 2 or 3 turns despite the fact His hand/field was extremely limited due to the viruses. My only issue was at one point, very early in the game too, he used MST into a group of four spell/trap cards. I can understand if that happened if it were late in the game and he was extremely desperate and he had nothing else but to hope he gets something good out of the way before he made a possible life-saving move, but this was his second turn. I see no reason why setting it was not the better option.

Rulings: 7/10
In the match I succeeded in tricking him by trying to special summon Arcanite Magician with darkflare and plaguespreader. In the quiz he did not know what spell speed was, nor my veiler'ed catapult turtle question. However on a brighter note, during the quiz he knew that fire formation - tenki does not search for
a monster if it is MST'ed when the activation is attempted. That right there made my day, for most people do not know this. He also caught me attempting to use MST the turn i set it, trying to send plague to the graveyard after special summoning it via its own effect, not banishing when I milled wyvern, and other attempted tricks.

Nordics and Vanilla Beasts. Other than barely ever seen i fail to see the similarity that it doesn't already share with 90% of decks.
