Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target loses 800 ATK, but is unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards.
Today's card of the week is Forbidden Lance. Probably the most popular quick plays spell staple besides MST and Book of moon. This card has two effects in one. It lowers an attack AND makes it unaffected my spell / traps. So you can use it on your own monster to protect from TT, Bottomless, D Prison, Dark Hole and etc. But that's not all, its second effect is aggressive rather than defensive. You can lower an attack in the damage step, allowing you to kill cards that would usually be hard to kill in battle. Remember, since its in the damage step, opponent can't chain non damage step cards besides counter traps.
This card is my personal favorite spell simply because of how you versatile it is in any deck. Please feel free to add, discuss or correct me. Share your opinions!Useful Links:

| Don't put such durp pics on the Widget again plz, least of all when you can't even crop them right p_p
As for the card, it's pretty good indeed. Staple in many Decks that need protection against haterow. |

They are both pretty good but I always preferred lance. Got PLENTY of cards for effect negation in my decks. |

| True that, however, unless you're playing Fire Fists or something, nowadays Wiretap, and MST is all you really need. |

Do you even Breakthrough Skill? Maybe even a Fiendish Chain? - DarkSoul wrote:

Surprisingly I find more dark bribes than wiretaps. I blame the chief Culprit: Shaddoll (And soon Necloth) . |
