Ok well I'm glad to say what with the explanations and rules and such up that I do have, I believe it's officially time to start a new RP (When I say that I mean that I personally feel comfortable starting an RP, not that until now anyone was unable to do so. Because you very well where able to, still are, and will continue to be able to start/join any RP you'd like at any given time...)

Anyway get ready guys for one of my favorite inventions (It's another brain child of mine and a former mentor of mine.) "The Quest for the Skull Katana's."

Legends speak of ancient weapons, a set to be exact. That when obtained grant their wielder untold power. Power enough to rival God himself and split the heavens in half with a single swipe. The Skull Katanas. Beyond rumors and here say about their overwhelming power not much is known. But recently a man has wandered into ODA and claims to know their whereabouts. Not only that, but rather than seek them himself he merely smiles, and offers to lead the way. The choice is yours, will you trust the mysterious stranger and seek power? Or perhaps you have some other motive for going along with whatever he is up to. Whatever your reasons, following him and the rest who choose to do so, or stay here and do nothing.



Now, before we kick this off I need people to play "Bosses." Basically what accounts for Immortal NPCs until the time is right. The mysterious man. Certain Guardians or other figures our heros might run into along the way. And specifically a certain 2 characters whom I will make no further mention of right now. But the "2 characters" will be major roles in the story line as it progresses.

The RP itself is going to be sand box style. If you know what that means. If not, basically it means that anything can happen. You walk down a seemingly deserted path and suddenly the entir eworld shifts around you. Imagine youself in a sanf box, a massive one. And some unsean hand continuously shifting the sand around you, forming passage ways, and structures and such.



But again, for now. I need people to volunteer for the following roles.

I ask that those who sign up for this please have experience with writing. Because these players will be required to move the story along IN CASE the other players are having trouble. you will find out why that may become an issue as things kick off. The main roles I need filled are Mysterious Figure #2 and the Final Boss. If no one signs up I will play them myself, But I'd rather not. Thanks.

I took the liberty of making myself the Final boss, makes sense anyway. I'll also narrate random NPC's along the way when need be.


But a HUGE part of this RP is the mysterious figures.


I take back what I said before. You don't need RP experience, this RP is VERY layed back and more or less an experiment to TEACH everyone who chooses to participate how to RP and do it well. But I need one thing from ANY OF YOU!


Please, someone offer to play the role of "Mysterious Figure Number 2"

By doing so you more or less null yourself from getting to go after the katanas, because I will be exposing certain spoiler info to you. But along the way I will HELP you play the role well. So don't fear any judgement. I simply need someone to play these role BESIDES myself, because without giving too much away... the two figures are supposed to be semi opposing figures. Please, sign up for this. And sorry for the double post but i want to get this started. Thanks.

Killa. You have 2-3 options then.


1: You could join the RP as just a participant. In which case you always have full control over your character, who he/she is, what they do and how they think and act. You'll most likely be looking for the Katanas of legend, but you are free to attack other players and do other evil things.

2: You could play a boss in the RP, and be evil. Keep in mind as a boss your JOB is basically to put up a good fight BEFORE you get defeated. So you'll have an expiration date. As for the final boss, I've decided I'll play that role this time around just to make sure things go smoothly. I would not be completely against someone trying out for the role though.


3: As I just mentioned, the mysterious figures are opposing forces. Yin and Yang if you will. So depending on who plays the mysterious figure number 2, is how I will play mine. Meaning if Hero signed up for the other mysterious figure. I would more than likely have my guy come off as a bit dark. And hero would be the light. But if you were to play the figure, and play your dark i would take the light role.

IF no one sides goes for the mysterious figure two, I will do it. If anyone does do it, then its all fine for me. But if not, I will have a go. Its my first RP and vent said he would help, so I might as well try xD

And yeah, if I play, I will be playing as Vent described, I'll be light / good but with a bad ass style.

Your style will be all your own Hero. I'll give this about 12-24 more hours and then if no one has offered to I will make you mysterious figure number 2, prolly discuss some things shortly with you guys who signed up for roles such as this in PM, and then get the RP officially under way.

vent, if you are a boss, you're allowed to just stand on one place and waiting to get ambushed meng. i rather just not stand and do anything. i'll go with option no. 1 then. third party combatant also seeking for the katanas and different goals.

To clarify a couple things. I want basically as many people who are active in the forum itself to join as 3rd party participants." So yea, that's something you'd sign up for when I get the thread section for the RP itself up. THIS THREAD is specifically asking people to play roles that HAVE to be filled. And yea as a boss, you would be waiting until certain events happen to take place to present youself.


Also no it's not a dessert. A sandbox is a term used to describe an RP that is relatively vague. I suppose at this time I can go ahead a and release the following information.

The entire RP will basically be held with all 3rd party participants searching a maze with a forest. However, it won't be as simple as making all the correct turns because things may not be as they appear. More details on how that works as things get closer to the release date of all this.


With pride volunteering to play any needed role. An Extra boss. Helpful side characters and such. And hero playing the 2nd mystery man. All the roles are now filled. I'll be updating the roster immediately and closing this thread within the next day or so. The RP will begin soon, thanks all who signed up for these spots.
