So it's late as fuck here and I have a question that concerns a deck I'm working on. So now I'm awake and wondering something:

Xyz Override: Field spell

If an Xyz Monster on the field would activate its effect by detaching its own Xyz Material(s), its controller can banish 1 card from their hand face-down instead of detaching 1 of those Xyz Materials. Each player can only use this effect once per turn.

I'm assuming I can't use this effect on my opponent's turn since it doesn't specify "during either player's turn", correct?

im pretty sure you can use it on your opponents turn provided you have an xyz that can detach a material "Each player can only
use this effect once per turn"

if the xyz has an eff "during either player's turn" then yes, i think it's possible.

Is anyone 100% certain on this? Like I feel that you can do it on your opponent's turn but the fact that it doesn't say "during either player's turn" makes me wonder.

It doesn't need to say that Fluff. The card says that the controller of the card can do this and that Each Player can only do so once per turn. That says it all.

...So say I control Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand and I used this card. Basically as long as I have a card to banish from my hand on my opponent's turns, I can use Felgrand's effect?

The spell is ehh and I'm not a huge fan of it but it lets you stretch out the OP'ness (yes I did read it out loud) of a lot of xyz. Say Silent Honor ARK had 1 material attached to it and I had Xyz Override on the field. Would I be able to detach the 1 from Silent Honor and the other from my hand using Override?

honestly when u use it its a -1 from activating it and another -1 for any cards you banish . If u draw it when u dont have any xyz its completly useless and its easily destroyed

Exactly, which is why I never run it. A XYZ reborn is probably better tbh for felgrand.
