| As we all know, Konami likes to make support for the money-making decks out there, but what about those half-finished decks and archetypes? When do they get some time invested in them?
So I ask you: What decks and/or archetypes do you think should get some new support? What do they need to make them better? Are they in need of better search or draw power? Maybe some backrow support? |

| In A LOT of decks I run I could find so many options for new support. My main two I think that badly need it are Battlin' Boxers and Mist Valley (my two main decks at the moment).
Boxers: Boxers had a little range of cards to begin with. They got some new support in the recent pack release but all except one card was useless. Rib Gardna, Rabbit Punch, and their new rank 3 xyz are not even remotely useful at all. Battlin' Boxin' Spirit acts as a free Monster Reborn but besides that there really isn't a whole lot of support at the moment. OCG has one more support card called "Flaming Knockout" but you can't do a whole lot with it unless you can successfully destroy a monster by battle. In my opinion, I think a field spell that took form of a boxing ring would be a neat addition. I've been dueling with boxers for months so I've made the most of the little draw/search power but I do think they could use an update.
Mist Valley: Mist Valley has become near but forgotten about. An occasional Mist Valley build with Ninja support is seen once and awhile but you NEVER see a Mist Valley build on it's own. The reason for this is simple: they have little to no support. The only three cards that so much as list "Mist Valley" in their effects are Mist Condor, Mist Valley Thunder Lord, and Mist Valley Apex Avian. The only spell/trap in the arsenal of use is Divine Wind of Mist Valley which is critical to have in almost any build that runs Mist Valley monsters. The counterpart, Shrine of Mist Valley, is hardly usable. On top of that, a good amount of Mist Valley monsters have effects that flat out just aren't good (Mist Valley Windmaster, Mist Valley Baby Roc, and Mist Valley Executor). What this deck needs is similar to what Ice Barrier has: a card that simply lets you search any Mist Valley monster in your deck. The archtype is so under powered that it honestly needs it. Besides Divine Wind of Mist Valley, there is 0 search, draw, or spam power to this archtype. I think at very least it needs a card to search out Mist Valley monsters, while also making a new range of monsters to choose from. Sadly I don't think this will ever happen considering Mist Valley was only big for duel terminal and since that's done I doubt i'll ever see any new Mist Valley support 3 ;-; |

| I think Hero's need support. They are not bad decks but most of their deck is using only 2 Hero monsters. Bubbleman and Neos alias. All the other cards are not usable competitively or effectively. And now with Stratos banned, having a usable Hero monster card would be nice. As for the spells and traps we got plenty good cards. Miracle, superpoly, sparks, Hero lives etc all helpful, along with the staples trap backrow. |

| I think Morphtronics needs some draw power. Many times I have run into the enemy swarming them and running out of power too quickly. |

| Good points Fluff. I've seen a few Mist Valley ninja decks on DN lately too.
Hero, Elemental HERO is the LARGEST archetype in the game already. They have oodles of Fusions, a search spell, and get all the Fusion-related cards to help them. What more do they need at this point?
Tyraineus: I agree with you entirely. Morphtronics are one of my favourite decks ever and yet they are a little too slow.
Now as for my thoughts... Toons: The beloved cards used by Maximilian Pegasus himself. These cutesy and fearsome creatures were all the rage back in the day, but they are severely lacking in the support department. They have a search spell, which is good on its own (though mainly seen in Exodia decks) and a single protection trap. Perhaps something that could have an effect like "This card's name is also treated as 'Toon World' while face-up on the field." and give it an effect as well, like "During your draw phase, you can reveal 3 Toon cards from your deck and add one at random to your hand instead of drawing." |

| Nordics: They espicially need draw power and a few more tuners the only and a way to protect the aesir from targeting would be pretty good aswell
also i really don't know what kind of morphtronics you run but even my noob one didn't have dead draws |

| Nordics could use a dose of help, yes. Considering Nordic Beast is the best of the three styles and the Alfar are terribad. |

| That it would. That it would. And there's so much more Nordic mythology they can cover with the cards. |

| I'm not a huge fan of Mist Valley Ninja decks though. Mine entirely doesn't use ninjas just out of dislike for the entire Ninja archtype in general. It'd just be nice if Mist Valley had support enough that more people would run them on their own. If it wasn't for cards like Tempest and Reborn Tengu, I don't know what I'd do. |

| one of my fav archetypes since the start of my dueling path; D.D.
they don't have a single support card, only if you search through artworks and trivia. none. and now fissure and macro limited, even less chance. they don't even have a beater other than those shitty zexal wannabe D.D.s. not a single fucking card. |

| Ah I see. D.D. has a bunch of monster cards but no direct supporting Spell or Trap cards. They just rely on Banish effects. In fairness however, Macro Cosmos/D.D. decks really don't need much else. |

| I think it would be really cool to see Toons again.
I also think that the following archetypes would be interesting again:
Ancient Gears - They're OTK is soups cool. Â To see an XYZ would be fun. Fortune Ladies - They're kinda too luck based. Â Maybe an XYZ monster? Battery Men Watts - XYZ too.

| Yes, limited now in a format where Heavy Storm and Giant Trunade are not around. I get your dismay at their limitation, but you know there are more ways to utilize their effects. |

| how? if we don't count those 2 monster wannabes of macro and fissure, there is no way to activate survivor or plane except the opponent's dumb enough to activate prison |

| All right, some examples:
Different Dimension Gate: Continuous Spell Card. "Target 2 monsters (1 on each side of the field); banish those targets. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Return those banished monsters to the field in the same battle positions they were in."
Future Visions: Field Spell Card. "When a monster is Normal Summoned, remove from play that monster. During the next Standby Phase of the controller who Summoned that monster, return it to the field in face-up Attack Position."
Necroface: DARK, Level 4, Zombie/Effect. "When this card is Normal Summoned, shuffle all removed from play cards into their owners' Decks. This card gains 100 ATK for each of those cards. When this card is removed from play, both players remove from play the top 5 cards of their Deck."
As a few ideas. |
