My irl best friend has decided he wants me to teach him how to play yugioh. I was fine with it, but I realized I only had one deck built. I looked through my cards and realized I bought a chaos agent deck a while back, that needed quite a bit of work. I decided to work on it last night, trying to make it into something that'd be good for getting used to. Any suggestions on common cards that might be good to use(I don't wanna look through 10s of thousands of cards for 1 specific card), or things that should be dropped from the deck? (Deck is currently 39 cards, as I'm missing a sleeve, and am going to add a Chaos Sorcerer when I find it). Things like Swords of Revealing are intentional, since he's new, hence I'm also not going for overly complicated cards.

Monsters-
Archlord Kristya x2
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
Bottomless Trap Hole
Chaos Sorcerer (Will be x2)
Gorz
Honest
Junk Synchron
Master Hyperion x3
Mystical Shine Ball x3
Night Assailant
Spirit Reaper x1
The Agent of Creation - Venus x2
The Agent of Miracles - Jupiter x2
The Agent of Mystery - Earth x3
Tour Guide from the Underworld x2
Tragoedia

Spells-
Creature Swap
Dark Hole
Mind Control
Mystical Space Typhoon x2
Swords of Revealing Light
The Sanctuary in the Sky x2

Traps-
Call of the Haunted
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Fiendish Chain
Magic Cylinder
Seven Tools of the Bandit
Solemn Warning

Extra:Number 96 Dark Mist
gaia knight
number 17 leviathan dragon
gravity warrior
2x magical android
giga-brilliant
flamvell uruquias
Zenmaines
scrap archfiend
gachi gachi x2
utopia x2
leviair

and since it's budget and he's new, i'm also gonna give him access to these from blackwing extra
Crimson Blader
Photon Papil
HTS Psyhemuth
stardust
zenmaines
scrap dragon
cowboy
black rose

Might be okay to teach with. I usually keep a Starter Deck around for JUST such an occasion personally.

Would probably be a good plan, but I don't buy cards, so I have only actually ever owned 3 starter decks (a yugi one i got long ago, one of the 5ds ones when i got back into the game, and the six sam one i built to fix up my six sams before i sold them, so none of them were in a keeping position :p

for reference:
Teaching someone to play yugioh ZuyLTH6
Personally i find it either to look at a decklist on dn cuz i see everything at once and i get a good idea of the m/s/t ratio and other such things like... 2 utopia, 3 level 4's and 1 trag Seems strange. Also i don't wanna suggest a lot of adding or changing because i'm not sure what you and your friend have available but i feel bribe would be more useful then seven tools simply because new player prob. needs the lp and he prob. won't handle dark hole or other spells. Oh and ur not giving him a mirror force? I loved that as a noob :3
