Pokemon Showdown Corner

We here at ODA's Official Pokemon Section also host tournaments and contests using Pokemon Showdown. Similarly to how the site utilizes Dueling Network, we will use Pokemon Showdown for various things such as Pokemon Competitions, Team Building Contests and so forth.

I could be a teacher on Pokemon if needed! Although I do not yet have Pokemon X or Y I do have a lot of the earlier games, I also have an extensive 9 years experience of playing Pokemon! My first pokemon game was Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition which I still cherish to this day. I also happen to know all there is to know about DV's, IV's and EV's.

OOOOOO

I had some ideas! First off, similar to XDA we should have Gym Leaders. Also I think we should have a Team of evil people (Like Team Rocket). Oh and we should make an RP on it or something. Also we should make a Pokemon School with lessons as well. We should also make some pokemon sacred!

I'm actually thinking about hosting one relatively soon. Firstly though, the xyz tournament has to happen and be concluded before I make any sign ups or anything.

I was thinking it would be similar to the Hunger Games that Pride hosted. I'll make a few areas and it'll be roughly the same concept only it'll have a different name for it, plot, etc. I'd probably just throw in a few rules though like no legendaries, blaziken w/ speed boost, mega gengar/kanghaskan (however the fuck you spell it), etc. Those seem to be the ones I remember being on the current banlist for rated wifi battles.

That only allows the use of pokemon in the 3 Kalos dexs correct? But I love my volcarona ;~;

Eh i'll just carry out with the typical wifi rules on Pokemon X. Just the exclusion of legendaries and what not

Just ban all Legendaries with few exceptions. Like, I would personally love to be permitted to use Latias.

Legendaries all and all would just be a terrible thing .-. Even Latias can be op at times. I lost my battle maison streak because of one using White Herb + Draco Meteor >.> I'll decide on the official banlist at a later date though. More or less it'll just be banning legendaries of any sort as well as certain mega evolutions
