I was thinking of doing this a while ago, before some unfortunate events preventend me from frequenting this site any longer. ;D

What is this?
- This is Battle City. More detail? Alright. Well, the idea is based on the second season of the original YGO show. Kaiba started a tournament for the best duelists in the world, which would take playe as a free-for-all in Domino City. People would face off against each other and the winner would be rewarded with a) a data card, which revealed the finals' location once you collected several of them and b) the best or most valuable card of the opponent's deck.

How is this going to work?
- The same way. More or less. Participant number is to be determined.
- Everyone can challange any other player at any time.
- You will need to win a certain number of duels, to qualify for finals.
- You have 2 lives, represtented by data cards. Once you have none, you are out.
- The winner of a duel will be allowed to pick one of the opponents cards and use it in his own deck. Either in the main or in the side.
- If you lose, you may no longer use the card the winner picked out of your deck.
- You are only allowed to use cards that were released before and including "Flaming Eternity". You can find all sets released here:http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/TCG_Set_Galleries:_Boosters
- You cannot use an archtype based deck. You MUST use specific type, theme or attribute based decks. Example: Things like the Horus or Armed Dragons are fine, as they only consist of 3 cards. You can PM me to ask if a deck is alright or not.
- The January 1st. 2014 TCG Banlist is applied.
- You are not allowed to use more than 3 boss monsters.
- When you sign up, make sure to send me a screenshot of your deck in a timeframe of 48h. Should I not get your deck in that time, you will be disqualified.
- To be fair, I will reveal my decklist to you, once I get yours.

Should this work out, I will host the 3rd installation as a RPG, once the Hunger Games are finished.

1. Gallows / Armed Dragons Approved!
2. Hero / Blue-Eyes

Does the victor of the duel have to use the opponents best card?

DarkSoul, as stated, you have to use it either in the main or in the side. Considering you will not have a side deck, besides the cards you win, there is no way not to use it.

Sylv, that is difficult, really. It depends on the deck, but I'd mostly say high-level effect monsters or anything with a lot of ATK, like Jinzo or Blue-Eyes. Or in my case Armed Dragon lv 5 and lv 7.
Oh yes: Boss Monsters should also work with your deck somehow and really be your go to monster to win a game.


Question: Can we get rid of the ridicolous rep system? I know, I am not a popular guy, but seriously, there was no reason.

how long will we have to join? because i'm going somewhere right now and i wont be back till the end of holidays.

I'll close sign-ups whenever I feel we have enough participants. It'll be open for quite a while, I think.

I hardly have any of the cards from those sets most of my stuff is the newer stuff if the set restriction was not here I would had loved to join

Gallows yes but I only use it to design my decks I don't like using cards that are not in my collection
