Chaos Dragons vs. Dragunity
Match Results: 5/15
2 vs. 1 in my favour.
Ruling Knowledge: 10/20
2,5 out of 5 answered correctly.
Attitude: 2/2
No complainst at all.
Duel Control: 4/10
Unfortunatly this was bad.
Game 1 you had the Mystelain play and not much else. Once I got rid of that and locked your backrow, I basically had game right there. Your options seemed to be quite limited, too
Game 2 you had full control, thanks to the early Shadow-Imprisioning Mirror. And even then, I was able to fight back, although more than half of my deck and my hand were locked down. My Veiler helped me and made you waste ressources, still, I had no way to get rid of your Mirror and when you made Blader it was game. Fair amount of control.
Game 3 was even worse than game 1. I was simply able to run over all the things you had and locked you down with yet another Decree. 3 useless sets and your terrible hand didn't help you in any way and all you could do was try to set a monster and stall. I had full control in this case.
All in all, you had a fair amount of control in one of three games and basically none in the other 2.
Use of Cards: 9/20
What on earth were you thinking when adding Phalanx to the hand, instead of simply sending it to grave and making your Dux and Myst plays live? I didn't understand why Phalanx would be of any use in your hand when you have no Cards of Consonance. Ravine usually makes your plays alive and even though you had Ravine in 2 games that I could not get rid of, you never really generated advantage out of it. Other than that, reasonable use of cards, although that D Prison on Trooper was a tad much, maybe. It worked out, I didn't get my draw and you had me with Shadow-Imp. so, yeah, why not. Other than that, everything was pretty much fine, altough Stardust wouldn't have been my first choice as for Level 8 plays.
Deck Consistency: 10/20
The build seemed to have some issues. 3 Myst are nice and enable instant level 8 plays as well as Rank 6 plays into Atum/M7/Launcher. I don't really think Black and White Wave is any good, as it is way too situational. In the games against me you ended up pitching it for Ravine. Yes, it lets you go +1 if you have the right set-up for it but you never really did. I'd cut on it, maybe to 1 maybe completly. It is an interesting tech and ultimately your descision, altough I do have concerns. Also, running 3 Phalanx and 1 Alkys I'd definetly run more cards of Consonance. You can simply add them to your hand (like you did) but then actually make use of them.
All in all, I am very dissappointed in the deck. I saw none of the big Dragunity plays. No 1st turn Synchro, no Atum/REDMD/OTK play, nothing. I'd definetly cut on traps and maybe one Myst, too.
Concentration: 3/3
No concerns/complaints.
Side Deck: 5/15
Lack luster side, really. 14 card side deck, including cards that should definetly be in your main, like Book Of Moon (the card is amazing and so incredibly versatile! I can elaborate on this further, if necessary) and the 3rd MST.
Spiritual Wind Art is a decent card, although you don't always have that Wind monster you want to tribute. I guess a re-summoned Phalanx works, but meh. Not a card I'd side in any way. The Mirrors are fine, though.
Also, I'd recommend Maxx C simply because you drain your hand very fast. Also Veiler might be a good addition.
Breakthrough is fine just to get out of Ophion's lock, but you usually have Leggionnaire for that. Might want to side one or 2 of those. Maybe even instead of maining them.
Dweller though has no place in your Side. If at all, it should be in the Extra.
Deck Originality: 4/5
Dragunitys are fine and all, and your build had some interesting techs and new way of approaching traps by actually using them. Still, the base is the same and the plays were mostly the same. I'll give 4, simply because I really haven't seen a Dragunity deck using 3 Myst with (moderate) success and using a good Trap line-up, as well as the Black And White Wave to make use of your Vaj-Atum plays.
Total points: 52/110
Well, looks like a prolonged stay in Slifer Red. Your build has some flaws, although I appreciate you trying to innovate it a tad. Unfortunatly it isn't working as intended, I fear. Maybe go back to a more usual version of Dragunitys and go from there. Put in one card after another and see how it works instead of filling the deck with techs.
